I just had the best day ever last week; I was shopping for a few things that I needed and since I was next to a clothing store I decided to try a few items. Suddenly this song started playing and I was like “wow, this is really good” but I didn’t had the initiative of searching the name with Shazam. I continued looking at the clothes and I saw something that I liked but a woman was going through that exact same rack so I waited for her to go away and I stayed still there. Since I wasn’t moving I could only hear this song while waiting and I realized that if I didn’t search it in that moment, I wouldn’t have another chance to do it later, so I grabbed my phone and I clicked on Shazam. I’m so glad I finally did it because it introduced me to this band, which I’ve been liking a lot.💖 Love from Mexico, I’m totally going to keep listening to your beautiful music.

I have no clue why this song isn't absolutely huge... I have been playing it several times a day since hearing it! Thank you for this song, and the video is fantastic.

Nostalgia. I spent so many rainy afternoons, moments of pause, listening to Marlin's Dreaming, such bloody cool kids. I always wanted to sit down with the band and talk about this interview I read about where Semisi was talking about how they had been really intentional with the lyrics for their new album Hasten during lockdown, paying more attention to telling a story than they had in the last couple of albums, in the way that say, Dylan might have structured his lyrics. I was sort of stunned because I had felt this very rare power flowing from the lyrical timbre of their previous albums. I always felt the lyrics of the previous albums had a rare subtlety, an intentional uninhibited thought flow not unlike the flow of the unconscious mind as it processes images and impressions in real time. I have always felt this to be quite revolutionary, this collection of emotions and words, seemingly unconnected, that might cross the mind unobserved on the way to work, on the train or a bus, just casually passing you by in your day to day life, and the power of music to elevate the humble beauty of these thoughts or moments being conveyed through their lyrics. I hope the band can see the genius in those early albums and how sensory they are to listen to. In contrast I found it difficult to connect to Hasten, like it was being forced. I hope the band can sink into their style without being self-conscious or overthinking it. This thought-flow lyric style really unlocks the same process in your listener and you become fully immersed in a complete sensory experience which lends it's ambiguity to allowing your imagination to flourish, and create an ever shifting ride of meaning and imagery unique to the listener. I don't know if it was on purpose but the effect is magical.

Always thought this song sounded similar to something The National could do,and that isn't a bad thing - off to see them this Saturday at the Piha Bowling Club, back here in New Zealand - a place they should be very familiar with.
