Interesting idea I have started using either foam or rubber worm plastic for legs and arms The foam legs are lite and are glued to the plug body For a sinking crawfish plug I made a mold and have been casting the crawfish pinchers out of plastic But I add a strand of stainless wire in the pinchers with a attached #2 single hook I catch a lot of the bass on single hook

Hey brother. I really love your videos. I make baits irregularly. Just finished my first batch in 5 years 😞 😅 but your posts keep me interested in the hobby, and the latest batch are my best by far. I'm sure I absorbed a lot of info from you from my last batch to now so, thank you. I can't remember if you've commented on this before but the line tie on the cricket looked to be pretty far from the lip. The legs on this baby were big but I wonder if moving the line tie right down to the lip would've produced some wobble? 🤷♂️

Is it possible to make a bait completely out of clear, hard resin? Something like the hot plastic mold method pore let it harden, possibly polish it almost glass-looking, then joined with some form of light on the inside. I think it would be a perfect nighttime fishing bait and might possibly be super reflective under sunlight as well.

Big cricket is a great idea. You should do a psychedelic frogfish. It would fun to paint.
@DerekPetersonLives6 ай бұрын
I wonder if the bubbles are caused from moisture being added during the painting process In some way steam/air is getting trapped and forced to release. Just my thoughts as it's been mildly consistent, I wonder if a hairdryer with some aluminum foil in a wind tunnel shape would make a enough of a kiln.

This kinda gives me an idea. You should try to make a swim bait with a retractable hook where the hook hides near the end of the tail and when the fish bites, it goes up. Basically a weedless but a hard bait instead of soft bait

This might not do what I think or if my brain is just wondering too much but I had always wondered does the lip placement affects the action to a wide degree, let's say just right after the joint, would it back twitch more then the front or would it just swaddle out of control, but to degrees with this cricket's legs maybe this might fix the lifeless it had
