A message to everyone who has been waiting for this video: I had a LOT more planned for this video but you saw what happened about halfway through 😬 which is why I was taking it very easy to begin with. My best hope is that Tesla is able to fix the truck so we’re able to continue with our previous plans. I wanted to film this much sooner, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to find a Cyberbeast for sale until nearly 6 months after they were available for purchase, which is interesting considering 3 KZbinrs were lent Cybertrucks for early reviews. Although I would love to blow it up with a nuclear bomb my goal is to first show everyone what to expect if they actually bought and owned a Cybertruck. This video is completely UNBIASED and not sponsored by any auto company. Thank you for watching and follow @whistlindiesel on instagram for updates :D

As someone who has actually detonated C4, I'm fairly confident that was not a C4 blast. I've never seen C4 produce that spark looking pattern and C4 typically comes in 1.25lb blocks (M118) that are larger than shown in the video. Additionally, the results from the blast would be heavily dependent on how the explosive is secured to the door. C4 properly used can cut an I-beam.

Many times it’s a losing battle/not ideal trade-offs to meet deadlines. I’ll also say they have a real time continuous improvement process baked into everything they do every minute of the day so I expect all these defects/weaknesses will be addressed. This is absolutely great testing and feedback for them and also just cool af to see! Thanks Cody

As a mechanical engineer regarding the doors Cody is in no way an extreme situation. This is an oversight to rookie engineers. At my current job as a medical design engineer everyone was being gentle. Then I showed them the Whistleing diesel way. Slame the lid hard, push buttons very hard, and plug in aggressively as possible. Yes, some design changes were required. Everyone looked at me terribly like why am I abusing this instrument. Well I designed it. I can destroy it. Thank you whistleing diesel. You are saving lives with engineers designing mechanical devices. EDIT: I didn't pay attention and didn't realized so many comments. Yes, I misspelled "slam". This comment was made after a couple of after work beers to gain some sanity back. The "plug it in aggressively" comment I didn't clarify completely. The unit has a DC barrel power connector so need to be sure the connector wouldn't shear off the PCBA. Hello to fellow engineers.

@Ralathar443 ай бұрын
Aye, I feel like the initial CyberTruck is the car designed by engineer, with the expected level of engineer common sense oversights, and after a few revisions it'll actually be a dang impressive machine. Regarding the hitch though, they damaged the hitch and everything by slamming thousands of lbs of force into it multiple times before. Both when they took it off the back of the truck (which broke the driveshaft of the F150) and on the logs, then an extra love tap when dismounting the concrete tubes. So it was already prolly broken from what they did to it before. Considering the F150 couldn't even drive after the damage it took from leaving the back of the truck trailer once, I think its a little unfair to expect another car to deal with that level of damage multiple times and still tow.
@JoeMama-no2bn3 ай бұрын
@@Ralathar44 no, I see what you mean and I agree that is what happened but that’s why you make it out of steel. Over time, hitting bumps or potholes or going off road, you go over things and the receiver hits the ground. I go to Moab every year and you hit the hitch going off big ledges all the time. A lot of the time they hit THAT HARD and guess what, they still work. If this happened pulling the f150 without any weight on the hitch after hitting things then that is a major problem. Hitting your receiver on a rock or something is actually way more common than you think if you take the truck off road. Especially if you leave a hitch in the receiver
@Ralathar443 ай бұрын
@@JoeMama-no2bn Personally I agree with you on a conceptual and spiritual level, my spatula is solid steel, I have steel chopsticks, I've got a patch of chainmail for my solid steel pots. I like things that are built to last. BUT, from a business PoV think about who their target audience is. Soft upscale white people with too much money, just like the target audience of all EVs. Even though I own a Smart Car personally, I bought that because I HATE city parking and that little thing makes parking anywhere trivial.

@@Ralathar44I’m curious for your thoughts after the new video came out about the Ford?
@Ralathar442 ай бұрын
@@Prockski That the ford's hitch is very tough but that if he wants to prove the Cybertruck's hitch is not up to standard usage he needs to do towing tests on a hitch not previously damaged by the equivalent of low to mid speed car accident's of force. If it fails in towing tests below its capacity without being damaged then its a problem. If not, then it failed because of the punishment he put it through that no normal car will ever go through. Gas pedal, trim, and truck bed cover are still issues though ofc.

To be fair, it was advertised as such. It did deliver in that regard though.

@halo64654 what was advertised as such? The video or the truck

I think that test could have only benefited the tesla, as the tesla was the only contender to stand a chance against C4. The only realistic shit in this video is the towing (witch was not a test at all, just getting the Ford out). The Tesla really fucked up there, in the only activity that a sane person would ever try.

@@llollo7631 Yeah it absolutely failed in pretty much every case that a normal person would use. Have to have it "confirm the buyer" to be able to charge (so it literally has to call a server to let you drive the car, what???) Diff lock "coming soon" Frame tearing apart when you want to tow something Ride height messing up Useless truck

Hey, I live in NYC. We're prone to peaceful protests (if you know what I mean💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥). When I'm driving home in the middle of the night and the peaceful protesters decide to go shopping. I'll be safe.

It's hysterical how the Cybertruck can handle explosives no problem but the human hand (and human foot, looking at the accelerator) just decimates it lmao. Truly the pinnacle of engineering!

Cybertruck uses steel instead of Aluminium, which makes it durable but the impact can be seen on the inside where the door paddle falls off.

@@unscrgenerally if you're inside of a vehicle in a combat zone you want the shrapnel to be flying off OUTSIDE the car, not into your thigh in the passenger seat
