You should get and bring a Silky folding saw with you! I often creek fish and always clear my paths with it. Also good to cut down small trees and branches to retrieve lures 😉

I think you could use a little bit of heat from a torch to pop all bubbles when the resin is setting. I know they brush heat over really big pours to help with bubbles

I think people should carry a kind of grappling hook on a thin rope with them if they have expensive/special baits. They you can go to that tree and toss the rope onto the branch and hopefully get the lure back. Or maybe put a pole saw in the truck? It's worth a try on a lure that you spent hours making.

Just a thought about the bubbles you sometimes get in the UV clear coat... Try putting the painted bait into your vacuum chamber. I think it might be air trapped in the pores of the wood that heat up and expand when you put the bait in the sun. Just a thought. Nice bait. Not sure how I missed this episode...

Doing eye socket, harbor freight sells a small articulating vice for like 15$ even comes with plastic on jaws. The suction kinda socks so I mounted mine to a car rotor.

I’m tossing an idea out there: If you rub a little acetone on the eye to prep the surface of the plastic then the resin might not spall, holiday, or bubble as easily… I dunno, it’s worth a shot. Bummer on losing that sweet nano spy! Ugh.

I live in northern Ca, fish the sac river it's weird how I'll fish a custom $40 lure one time and kill it but the next time nothing. Sometimes ill switch to a $3 china lure from walmart my aunt got me and it'll just murder. Crazy.
