You should turn a chess set into various types of lures. For example a pawn crankbait, a topwater bishop, a queen jerkbait, and a king buzzbait. Something like that. It sounds awesome. Great video as always 👍

You should do a wood block, soft bait pour. Maybe find a good piece of wood or stick and make a mold. Maybe they would like soft squishy blocks of wood.

There was an article I recall from an old Popular Science magazine from the 60s that showed a fisherman using all manner of objects to catch Bass, a piece of carrot was one winner and a wrist watch (without the straps) was one of the most successful! The message then, as it probably is now, is that when the fish are feeding, it doesn't really matter what you throw to them. Everyone also knows that fishing lures are designed to catch the fisherman first, and the fish second.

@joeschmoe13012 жыл бұрын
What is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT is that the block is square and parallel. As you know, bass can tell when wood is out of plane and they simply won't bite it. Precision plane and parallel is VITAL to getting consistent strikes from bass.

Just came back from a one week fishing trip, and here are two things I would like to say: 1. I think you should make a spoon lure. That would be pretty cool 2. A thing that I was taught while fishing (that you might already know) is that whenever you have a fish you keep your Rod tip up and that you lift the fish out of the water by grabbing the line, not just with your pole. Just thought that might be helpful! Also it’s my 13th birthday in two weeks and my parents are getting me one of your merch hoodies. :D Thanks for being such an awesome Fisherman and KZbinr (two of my favorite things)
@Noit272 жыл бұрын
With certain fish i.e Barramundi, keeping the rod tip lower is better. If they jump having the rod tip up will give them enough slack to spit the hook. Keeping it low will avoid this.

I'm not sure if you've done this yet, but have you tried a lowpoly fishing lure? Like clearly these fish will go for anything, but how little polygons will achieve a successful lure? Also, side thought: PAINT THE BLOCK TO LOOK LIKE FISH! I'll bet that it increases the catch rate by at least ~30%!
