Marlo Thomas, 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, Acceptance Speech

The 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Marlo Thomas to celebrate the tremendous impact she has had on the entertainment industry and American culture. The award ceremony was held May 23, 2023 at the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California.
The Annual Gracie Awards are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (formerly known as The Foundation of American Women in Radio & Television). The AWMF supports and promotes educational programs, and scholarships to benefit the media, the public, and allied fields. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation has created partnerships and joint initiatives with many organizations that are philosophically aligned with the mission of the Foundation. In addition to giving $20,000 a year in scholarships to deserving female students, the Foundation also produces nationally acclaimed recognition programs, including the Gracie Awards that exemplary honor programming created by, for and about women.

Read her former butler's Desmond Atholl book. Marlo Thomas is a spoiled, petulant child who treats those who work for her like dirt. These are NOT the words of a disgruntled former employee, either. There are multiple reports of her diva-like behavior with cab drivers, store clerks, construction workers who worked on her penthouse, etc.

Jimmy Carter was all about helping people with Habitat for Humanity for all these years since he left office for all these reasons to help the less fortunate be able to live in a home of their own! Does it make this man any money, does it make his wife any money? No of course it does not, but it gives both of them the gratitude of helping the less fortunate who might never have been able to afford a home! He has lived a life to help provide for the poor and to this end will be remembered as a true gentle spirit a true Christian a model human being! God bless them both for all time!

I remember your dad as I was growing up. I grew up watching you as well. It is an accomplishment, in itself, carrying on your father's Legacy. And however many other things that you have done, that we know nothing about. St.Jude's has been the lucky recipient of your father and your Love and Dedication to sick children. A beautiful speech that tells the story of a lady who embodies her fathers accomplishments in terms of humanity. Many, many yrs ago when I was single and just a young man trying to find my way. Giving to St. Jude then was an anchor of sorts at the time for me. Today, some 40 yrs later after raising a house full of kids and every stray dog that showed up and stayed till their life was up, My wife and I still donate to St. Jude. I’m not bragging, I’m a man who has made many mistakes along the way. St. Jude, was an avenue of love and redemption, Thanks Marlo for all you’ve done, Your words are empowering and taken to heart.

My name is Stephen, and I love Marlo Thomas! She is by far one of the most beautiful and talented ladies on this Earth. I have fond memories of her as a little boy watching her TV show That Girl in the 60s and 70s. We also can't forget all the things she's done in the movies and on TV as well as her wonderful charity work for St Jude Hospital. This amazing establishment was created by her wonderful late father actor-comedian Danny Thomas. This lady is what I call the epitomy of a real woman who is successful and brave and bold to express herself and help others from all walks of life. Marlo is a true and special and unique one-of-a-kind lady unlike no other. Someday I would love to give her a bouquet of flowers and a special greeting card of gratitude to her. Marlo deserves an award for getting through filler and Botox injections. It is absolute TORTURE. You’re 85 now leave your face alone you don’t need it especially your lips. I finished watching the complete That Girl series just love it brings back foggy memories as I was a little girl in the 1960s I distinctly remember the darling opening, how can anyone forget it. I love the adorable summer dress and matching umbrella. Ted was a doll your chemistry unforgettable. Hate Anns father he’s a nightmare. He gets on my nerves.
