I don’t know why I had a negative perception of Vera heading into the O’Malley fight and I won’t pretend to have known him well prior to that, but I can’t get enough of this guy now. There’s a humble confidence to him. Also, that calf kick was legit and it caused O’Malley’s nerves to collapse which is what created the “twisted ankle” movement where he went down. It wasn’t a fluke, it was a hell of a kick that took a leg from Suga mid-fight. He won. No asterisks. Vera won.

@@lightinferno4490 Do you think O'Malley would give a rematch if the shoe was on the other foot?
@bcomplete82644 жыл бұрын
@@lightinferno4490 That's a fair opinion, I think it goes both ways though. Vera did get a bit lucky given that Suga's foot gave out, but the real question is just how much Vera's kick affected Sugas prior injury. I think that the injury was an easy out for Suga to blame his loss on, whereas Vera should accept the fact that he did get a bit lucky, but his kick clearly contributed to the collapse of his leg; not just the misstep by Suga. At the end of the day, if the injury never happened, I still think it would have been an incredible fight.

Its cool how UFC pushes someone with a ton of hype. If that person turns out to be a McGregor than awsome. But if they lose there hype some one else picks it up like Jorge did with daren till and Nate Diaz did with McGregor and now chito. It's a win win for the ufc

chavo 7750 I agree 100%. Like people shit on hype trains but there are a reason hype trains as a concept exist, this is a business.
@feelsgoodmen37534 жыл бұрын
No. Masvidal finished Till clean, no questions left. O’ Malley got injured and Chito capitalized on that, not impressive at all, did not end any hype.

Feels Good Men but if O Malley would’ve injured chitos leg with the leg kicks he landed and then elbowed his head through the canvas you would’ve been all over it

@@feelsgoodmen3753 o Malley got injured through fighting...some people are truly clueless. U think he just forgot how to walk? Or that Chito mighta done this?

I'm so happy O'Malley got embarrassed. Doesn't seem like he's learning from it either so it'll probably happen again and be just as satisfying.
