Growing up poor, making a meal outta nothing....back in the days. Syrup sandwiches, mayonnaise sandwiches, ketchup sandwiches, just bread sometimes and we've made it to today. Family is everything and losing any part of it is devastaing in many ways. However, it's a part of the cycle of Life. I'm still trying to come to terms with the reality of it myself. I'm so proud of the Wayans family and their accomplishments. For Marlon, I pray for continued strength, joyful memories and happiness with each and every new addition to his beautiful family.

I do understand Marlon feeling. I lost my son of cancer at the age of 39. I Lost my sister of lung cancer. I lost my oldest brother who was my best friend. Three years ago when no one had light we found my brother in his room frozen. In 2024 my baby brother age 54 died of prostate cancer. I will never forget on December 23 3023 my call me to take him to the hospital. We was thinking he just had the flu. Me and my brother was told on December 23 2023 that the cancer had spreaded an there wasn't anything the hospital could do. So Marlon I know how you was feeling. God bless you

I don't know if you're religious you're familiar with the Bible but I wanted to share one of my favorite stories from the Bible. The story of Job. And what people don't realize is that God and the devil have an agreement that they cannot personally interfere with a human's life so if somebody sees that we're going to get hit by bus God can't just reach down and pick the bus up or move us out of the way because that would be direct interference oh my God does not save people that's why we rely on Jesus to do that but that's a different story now God said devil the job was his most devout follower that he would never lose his faith in the devil asked if you wanted to make a bet? So God agreed they turned job's crops Ash they killed all of his life stuck systematically every one of his nine children died his wife was turned into a pillar of salt for his very eyes he was covered in lesions and boils he developed a limp and he still had faith! there was nothing more, short of taking the man's life that the devil could do. When asked how he still had faith he said because the things that he had the people that he loved were all in a better place he would see them again one day but it almost have been for a reason and who is he to question God. Devil was furious because he lost the bets and she lived up to his wager that he put down he put everything back in job's life granted it was in heaven but I don't think that he cared just know that is why we read the Bible it's not to see some fairy tales from back in the day it's so we can try and draw strength to our personal experiences through these fairy tales now do I know if these things happened I don't know do I like the stories yes I've used them myself to give me strength I just want you to know that no matter what you're not alone there is at least two people three if you want to count a holy Spirit we won't go into semantics God is always listening in Jesus is in your heart that man died for you and if you like that or not there's physical proof he existed so he sacrificed himself for you for your family and I guarantee you they are reaping rewards of jesus's sacrifice. I pray it is true, I hope it in my heart. I tell you this with tears in my eyes. I only have one living family member on both my mother and father's side of the family and I had two dads (three if you count the adopted dad). I have no one left. there isn't enough space to type out all the people that I have lost. I know your pain but take small comfort in knowing that this is just a test. I don't have to know you to love you.

I love the Wayans family for many years going back to the 90's. I've always enjoyed whatever they put out. But Marlon has always been my all-time favorite of the crew for many different reasons. So, I feel what he says and can definitely relate to his experiences on life changes and the darkness of losing someone so close to you and going through it. It's called life trials and tribulations. I have so much respect for him for keeping it real and on the up n up because at the end of the day, we're all human with the same experiences and emotions no matter if you're a well-known celebrity or simply a unknown person living your life.

it JUST hit me that Keenan's character in Don't Be a Menace is his character from Hollywood Shuffle at the end of the movie. I just thought he was the postman, and he delivered "messages" pointing out the message in key scenes. I just remembered that in Hollywood Shuffle, the main theme was to not sell out your dignity for money, and there's always work at the POST OFFICE. I've seen the movie a million times and never made the connection to Hollywood Shuffle. Genius, man.

It took me 8 months through therapy and meds to keep me from crying all day and every day. I didn’t think it was going to hit this hard. My Mom was my mother AND father to me. It’s always been her and I and not even our family have been around. She left them behind when I was 6 to live a better life outside of the small town she grew up in. I’m trying to make it without her and be half as strong as she was to make her proud of her only baby (which I was to her even as old as I am).
