This is only a small part of Kalari..... I mean thekkan Kalari....and it has the resemblence to varma kalai....

A lot of such knowledge gets lost in transmission. There is too much of unnecessary secrecy around such things. It has to be documented somewhere before it is lost forever. It is not as though anyone who knows these pressure points can start using it to kill people from the next day - you should also have the skill to use it! Even the simplest ones require lost of skill to apply in a fight - he simply made it look very easy. At least the healing potential associated with these marmas has to be available to all people.

@@worldofmartialartstelevision I wish I could be there. But I'm in Kerala and in no condition to travel. I train in okinawan shorin ryu karate and would love to cross train and spar Alot. But I'm sure his students can resist the techniques, rather than being the rag doll of the guru!. That's the way to build the practical applicability of the techniques. Otherwise they are doomed to fail.
@worldofmartialartstelevision5 жыл бұрын
Perhaps we are all doomed to fail. Kerala is comparatively very near to Bengalaru... Either way they showed us a sample of their techniques. There is valuable insight in them. Thank you for your insight, however it is the most common thing folk say when seeing training videos. Perhaps you would post a video showing what you mean.

@@worldofmartialartstelevision Ha ha ha😂. Back when I used to go to my dojo we train the techniques of the forms against non-compliant partners. That way we were able to execute the technique successfully. Damnation is something the conceptual martial artists earn for themselves!. All I have heard from kalarippayatte practitioners while questioning why their stuff doesn't work against other styles is 'the old deadly techniques are lost in time!...kalarippayatte is the mother of martial arts and the old knowledge is not propagated to succeeding generations!'.oh come on please!, how hard is full contact sparring?. Try to invest your time in practical training and not on the b.s. demonstrations!. And by the way, its not the distance nor my health, that's stopping me from paying a visit. But rather my economical conditions!. I would rather find a job and secure my balance!😉. Had a Nice chit chat. Good bye

Ladies and Gentlemen please do not believe this garbage. What kind of true martial artist will leave their hand to the receiver, so that the receiver can manipulate your hand like that? This might work against novices but not against a trained martial artist. What garbage! I mean honestly.
