Marmaduke Pickthall: The First British Muslim Translator of the Quran

Jeremy Shearmur has worked in universities in Britain, the United States and Australia, teaching philosophy and political theory. He is the author of The Political Thought of Karl Popper and Hayek and After, was joint editor of Karl Popper’s After the Open Society. His edition of Friedrich Hayek’s Law, Legislation and Liberty will appear later this year. He has had a longstanding interest in Marmaduke Pickthall and in early British converts to Islam.

In less than half an hour, what I heard from the lecture is a somewhat seeing a verbal reel of few decades of Muslims of British India and of England. I would like to go further and finish the video session. Thank you very much sir dear Prof. Shearmur, with due respect and my best regards to The Islamic College London and organisers of this even.
