Marna Motor - Engines and old factory

Sound, images and video of Marna boat engines (R1, R2, 5HK-H, L2 and M3) from 4 to 24 HP, both gasoline and diesel. Images and video from the factory premises of Marna Motorfabrik in Kastellgata 12 in Mandal, Norway. The factory was located here from 1930 to October 2007. The buildings was demolished to make room for new apartments. The factory, now called Marna Motor, had to move to other smaller premises.
This is an abridged version of a 14 minutes long video that probably will be available on DVD at www.marna.no or royaj.net during 2008.

Thank You. This type of wonderful engine is almost unknown here in the U.S. Perfect type for low speed displacement hulls.

greeting you from Thailand . Yes,very good engine ..wonderful .. I love this kind of engine . In Thailand that most of the engines from Japan..such as Kubota,Yannar,Mitusbishi,but the farvorite that Yanmar ,Kubota , one piston diesel engines .

the old marnas sounds great! our old one is just standing in the back of the garage, beacause it was hard to start it. I think he used a screwdriwer or something. also, my dad tought the cab (or whatever you would call it) was too low when he steered from the back. Can't wait till he gets it on water again. in the meanwhile we're just gonna have to use a GH14.

Marna still makes the twin-cyinder gas engines T12 and MB10A. The largest engine they made was the Y diesel, which was only made one year- in 1962- and is a 4-cylinder engine which makes 200hp.
