Marnus is a champ. His crazy antics sometimes remind me of myself as a 20 something. Obviously nowhere near as good as a cricketer as him but I copped a lot of stirring from team mates due to my crazy and often undisciplined benaviour. I was nicknamed Norman (Bates from Psycho) as they didn't know what I was going to do on or off the field. They were crazy times as I didn't know at the time I had ADHD and it did hamper my ability to keep a job and I partied a little too hard on the weekends. The good thing for him is the structure he gets as a pro cricketer. He is certainly a character and can play as good as any other bats going around.

He is of SOUTH AFRICAN parents.as were other greats including two England captains in IAN STRAUSS TONY GREIG. ALLAN LAMB KEVIN LAMB AND A WHOLE HOST OF OTHERS. AT ONE STAGE THEIR WERE SO MANY IN THE ENGLAND TEAM WHEN THEY TOURED SOUTH AFRICA THE ENGLISH BOARD OF CRICKET SAVED A NICE PENNY AS JUST ABOUT HALF THE TEAM JUST STAYED AT MOM AND DAD STILL RESIDING IN SOUTH AFRICA.
