Brings me back to childhood, always had the music channels on repeat. Mum never really cared too much for 'modern' music but she loved this song. Added it to a playlist I made for her on her birthday along with Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones and the like. She died when I was 23. This one always reminds me of her. Miss you Mum.

My mom is a Maroon fan, when I was 6/7 years old, every night I heard her fall asleep to their songs. But this one is the one that marked me the most emotionally, it reminds me of when, 'cause of the storm, I slept in my mom's bed, her comforting arms hugging me. So when when I listen to this song, I cry because I don't live with my mom anymore, and we don't see each other more than once a month . 18 years old in a few days, I'm scared because it's the officialization of my responsibilities, and it reminds me above all, that these distant moments with my mother, will be even further away, 'cause my 17 years of childhood, will be behind me.

I have a similar experiance, my mom heard about this Band when i was about 6/7 and she loved it and always played their songs in the car, and we would listen to them on the radio as well. My mom would dance with me to the music and this song holds a place in my heart because it is the first English song I heard(my family is Bulgarian we moved to the USA), the part I liked as a kid was "she will be loved", i always wanted my mom to know i loved her. When I was 11 I was studying for a test and I was frustrated, my mom was leaving for work and she said " I love you son" and I responded "yeah whatever mom", then she left to go to work and died in a cad accident🌹 So when I listen to this song I also cry but some of the tears are of joy, from the good times with my mom, and some are saddness, because i didn't tell her I loved her. And i turn 18 in July and I have the same fears so you're not alone, just remember the good times with your mom and always tell her you love her

In reality, "someone else" was a symbol, a very ironic one. Adam and his ex-gf Jane (who the album is made for) broke up because he was at the beginning of his career, which took up a lot of his time, while Jane was also beginning her career in fashion. Both needed that support but they couldn't give it to each other. "This Love" was actually written during the week she moved out of their place. Jane Herman Bishop went on to become a successful Vogue editor and now own a clothing business while Adam is one of the greatest pop stars.

I don't mind spending every day Out on your corner in the pouring rain Look for the girl with the broken smile Ask her if she wants to stay awhile And she will be loved x4 I know where you hide alone in your car Know all of the things that make you who you are I know that goodbye means nothing at all Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls Yeah Tap on my window knock on my door I want to make you feel beautiful I don't mind spending every day Out on your corner in the pouring rain, oh. Here, here. I've always despised Maroon 5, but only because I've heard their latest tracks via a radio I'm forced to listen to at work - until I bought two pairs of wireless earbuds to listen to what I like without people in office knowing due to the earbuds being hidden beneath ear defenders. I recognised this song from when I heard it as a kid, so listened to their first album, and I have to say it is an absolute godsend. A shame they never remained who they were from the beginning, but that's greed in action. If you're interested in any way, do check out my playlist of the tracks that I personally deem as the best from what I've listened to. While I haven't included this track, I did include 'Harder To Breathe' despite the fact that I had a massive grudge on Maroon 5. open.spotify.com/user/tootsaka/playlist/1gWJ4yMtL8gmrUAckdQXr3?si=0PM4yyuGQ6CRDWeufZSi2A
