Short story summary:
The animatic starts with Birdpaw failing on her first training session. She isn't interested in continuing training, until one day she sees her mentor Rainsting returning in the camp with prey.
Birdpaw tries more, but fails anyway; and confronts Rainsting for not even let her try. On a hunting session, she catches a bird feathers, and this little win inspires Birdpaw to start training more.
The video ends with Birdpaw's first "win": she managed to knock her mentor off her paws for the first time.
srsly never treat your kids this way.

Bird and Frog are so sweet! For what it's worth, Rain and Bird's relationship seems to become better at the end there. Rain intrigues me, in all honesty. Especially since she seemed to lose someone close to her, as well, and was even shown to open up to Birdpaw to get her to talk to her friend, when she and Froggy had a falling-out.

This is so beautiful! You did so well with the visual storytelling an xuch a treat to watch. An I find it a funny coincidence as I have a pupil on the same side that will randomly blowout all the time due to brain damage when I was younger, just like this. Heh, all i say is always wear your helmet while dirt biking. When you're younger you can feel invincible.

It's called Anisocoria. Birdpaw suffered a head injury which caused it, causing her eyesight to become worse. Both cats & humans can have this condition!

She didn’t get fully blinded, her head injury messed up one of her eyes which makes her vision in it super fuzzy. That’s still classified as blindness though.
