Lived in Traverse City 10 years. People hate Traverse City in the summer because of the traffic, congestion, rush. Even if you live in T.C. you get other TC residents scream to you to leave. "But I live here, so shut up." WAS MY STANDARD ANSWER. Marquette is wonderful.

I’ve lived in TC for 28 years and never had anyone scream at me to leave. Lol It’s a very small portion of people here that hate the traffic, the rest of us know what to expect in the summer.

I moved from MQT to TC and every day I want to move back to MQT.

Truly experiencing them both! TC is so busy even the winters can be a challenge to get around!

@@LivingInMarquetteMichigan The traffic and design of TC is not suited for the amount of people the area now holds. If you look at the farming land and ow the city was originally divided up, the main roads worked for a lower/slower population. Now they have to place all of these people in small, higher rise, apartment buildings to accomodate the population. (Which means the cost of living has to adjust) Meanwhile after leaving MQT to come here (Traverse) I know see the same issues starting to happen in MQT. It's (Marquette) truly becoming the "TC" of the "UP" and I'm hoping that they handle the rise of population better than Traverse City.

I am a veteran looking to move to either Marquette or Traverse City MI within the next 3-6 months. Your videos are amazing, and I am so happy I have subscribed to your channel. One thing that is important to me is the healthcare for my disabilities. Marquette would be my number one choice, but I hear horror stories of the local hospital. Could you provide any additional insight on this? Also, I do have your contact information for when the moving time draws nearer.

Your best bet would be to contact the hospitals or search for whatever specialty care you may need. Not everyone’s experience is terrible and not everyone has to commute to get attention for their specialty care.

I am not a veteran but I thank you for my freedoms! Traverse city just built a new VA clinic and I’ve heard good things about it. I’ve always had great experiences with Munson hospital.

Hello. Glad to find your channel. I'm looking to buy a small home with a big piece of private land or just some raw land. 40-80 acres. Year round accessible/liivable. It's been a dream of mine to have a big piece of property in the wilderness. I am retired. I've been researching the Marquette area for a while now. Looking down around Crystal Falls and Gwinn. I've never been so I am open. Are there any good areas you'd recommend down outside of Traverse City for land and/or a small cabin? Would be grateful for some guidance. I'm planning to come up this fall and camp and explore for a few weeks. Look at some homes and property. Thanks so much.

Yeah, if you’ve got the money. Both of those cities were made for basically only the wealthy. Maybe include that in your video. Just a thought.

Traverse City is closer to the real world and swells with people from don below & out of state in the summer .Marquette is far far north .Although plenty of the usual northern Michigan nonsense like the bottle drugs ,wilfull stupidity , bad schools, guns , incest , laziness ,militia ,conformity but still has an exciting frontier quality
