Thank you so much for THIS subject in particular. As a single, the pressure is real, and sometimes it's hard when you desire to be married. For me, it's especially hard when you are in a world of "marrieds." And i'm throwing my bait in libraries, churches and the right places. In my church, everyone older than me is married, everyone younger than me is married, and the people who were single with me are now coupled up with the few other singles that were left 😄😄😭😭.So no lie, I'm like one of maybe....maybe two singles in my whole church (which includes myself) of like 400/500 members. I had an old coworker once tell me "IF you ever start dating again, don't tell a guy you've been single for more than five years, or they will think something is wrong with you." And the older you are, the harder it gets, and the more bleak it seems. And when your hormones are in full swing with no person in sight (for lack of better terms, it's like UGH). I've had two friends who tried to match me up with a person, and both weren't secure in their faith and were just "spiritual," so I automatically declined... 😔. And there's no support for singles if the whole church barely has anyone who is single. It seems finding anyone of substance these days is slim pickings. However, I will remain encouraged, This was a great word, I like the most focus on God more and on eternity.
