In the worldly marriage you're a consumer. It's I'll do for you as long as you do for me. In the Biblical marriage it's a Covenant, God considers marriage to be a covenant relationship.Furthermore marriage is a God-sealed Covenant for in (Mark 10:8, 9) Jesus teaches that God Himself joins the husband and the wife together. AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh The World says love is a feeling. Gods word says, "love is a choice“ John 15:12: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you We are not to make our feelings a test by which to discern whether we are in or out of favor with God, whether they be what we consider encouraging or not If you want your marriage to flourish, obey God! Stop rebelling against God, you are not rebelling against your spouse. You are rebelling against God. Acts 5:39. “But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.” There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. Proverbs 21:30 KJV Trust him that turned night into day and made all of the universes. God has given the victory already if we will obey him. The only question is will you accept it by obeying him or rebel and be dishonored?
