The first step is over for my wife , looking forward for step 2 which is nvc to send me the welcome letter ! My wife I 130 application took 14 long months, but I finally got approved on September 27, 2024. I submitted my wife's application on July 25, 2023, and we got an update on August 10 that her case is being actively reviewed. The process is stressful, but hang in there - patience is key!

I am a US citizen, I have 3 adopted kids in Cameroon. The adoption is completed and I have satisfied the 2yr custody requirement. I filed an I-130 for them, but due to safety reasons and treat to their safety from militants with failed targeted kidnapping attempts, I requested an expedited process for their I-130. It was denied based on the fact that there is not I-131 parol application on file. I then submitted the I-131 for all the kids and requested expedited process for both the I-131 and I-130 again, they were all still denied expedite. Can you help with this?

Last week i went through my IR1 visa interview at islamabad, The officers asked me around 8 to 10 questions. Then he issued me 221g white paper and returned my passport. On that white paper only two things the visa officer marked, Administrative processing & Passport(submit via courier). Now what does it mean?

I filed a i-130 4 months ago. The uscis website says theres 11 months estimated time until case decision. How do i know that my case is being looked at? Am i supposed to receive anything in the mail that uscis requires?

How can TPS help me? To amend my legal status in the United States of America. Note that I entered America through the southern border in 2023 in August. I married an American woman in September. She provided me with an I-130 fileI. I got social security and work permit in month 5. I am currently waiting for the TPS file to be approved so that I can leave the United States of America and return to it so that my status becomes legal. Note that I am of Syrian nationality.

I won the green card lottery in 2018 and came to America. I just got married and she lives in Turkey. I am applying for I-130. What was your date of admission? city or town? state? . I did not understand this question. Should I write the date on the green card? Or should I write the date I first stepped into America and the airport address?

Is there anything I can do more with my situation- my wife petitioned me back in 2022 as a greencard holder. She got her US Citizenship last january. She already tried to expedite but was denied because they said it did not pass the categories given for expedite. But we were told that ours can be expedited because she is now a US citizen. Hoping for some advice! Thank you so much.

My F4 priority date is Sept 2020. I-130 approved date was July 2022. Email received from NVC to pay IV fees Dec 2024. Is it worth it to pay such fees and wait for many years for the priority date to become current ? Or Is this a sign that our file is a strong file and visa is available in the near future ? Actually, post filing i-130 we had observed that the F4 India category cut off is 2006. By the time my child (8 years) ages out hence we do not have Green card hopes. Dec 2024- email from NVC put me in a situation. Is it a sign of Green Card in a near future or it is just a fugasy ( Fair dust) to collect fees in advance?Please provide any valuable inputs, if you can. *NVC will ensure your case is prepared for your visa interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate General and will schedule your interview appointment. NVC will also collect any applicable fees, the Immigrant Visa Application, supporting civil documents, police certificate(s), Affidavits of Support, and financial documents if applicable, before your visa interview* On a seperate note, In Aug 2022, USCIS sent us a letter i-729 or something stating that we did not mention in our i-130 if we need Inside or Outside USA green card process. To confirm the same, send $ 500 check to Chicago USCIS. We did the same but not happy with the way they are collecting money from us. Now another way to take more money! Or is it genuine? Yes, source is definitely NVC and we did log in Gov site also

They're always exceptions so a consultation is needed to provided individual guidance, but usual not unless you plan on becoming a citizen or your children are going to be aging out the next 5 or 6 years

Hey After we got the intent to revoke on i-130 application 2 months ago,,i check today on uscis page and it says we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number . Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. .... its that a good news?

The online system is not reliable. Go with what the paperwork they sent you says. Consult with an attorney as soon as possible
