Love Shinedown. One of the best live shows out there. Lyrically every song seems to have a positive message. Even earlier songs what I call pre-sober era. Unity, symptom of being human, get up, and many more with strong mental health message. Should do more. If you wanna hear Brent's range check out simple man cover. You'll see his voice range

Brent Smith lead singer is Christian he says God Bless you at the end of the show but not the band. This song is about the fans and his band mates. Brent has had a slip up with drugs and alcohol after he was sober for years and his fans and band mates saved him. Sweet guy met Brent and band multiple times all great guys. Don't know anything about cancer never heard that & no Shinedown fans have said that.

Your head would spin knowing how many metal bands are Christian. And don't lay the topic of the song on either the band or the vocalist. Many people write and many others sing those. And if a person writes a song it can be from the heart of knowing someone who knew someone who knew etc etc.. don't assume anything!
