I truly think what Orion's problem was is exactly what happened at the end of the last episode and the beginning of this episode. He believes that as soon as you sign up for the show, you should wait to engage in any sort of relationship or sexual activities until you hear from the experts themselves you were not selected. I was gonna let him rock with that idea cause it's how he feels. But when they talked to Passa Cal and he flipped it back onto the comment he brought up in the hot tub, I was completely done with him because he done told her that he moved past it at least twice. That's how I truly knew he was just trying to pick any and everything to throw back in her face to get her to call it quits and ask for a divorce.

I saw Orion presenting as feminine throughout the last few episodes - I know earlier he stated he leans into both sides well honey it’s bleeding throughout these episodes (pun intended). The pulling sex off the table the constantly needing space and having to sit in his emotions the tears the manipulation all (usually) feminine traits which then has Lauren appearing as masculine bringing him his favorite ice-cream, heading off to the gym while he relaxes/ calms down, overly apologetic and having to forgive him just for him to flip it directly back on her stating he can’t get over it. Ummm BYE Orion ✌🏽 Lauren deserves better.

Orion likely grew up in a home and/or in such a way that forgiveness and accepting an apology was never modeled to him. One thing I always remember is that everyone wasn’t raised the same way, and so not everyone learns all the tools they need to be a productive and happy adult in childhood. The way Orion moves, it seems like he’s learned how to keep people out with rigid boundaries, rather than learning how to keep people close with flexibility and forgiveness.

You guys had me in tears. 🤣🤣🤣 SO spot on. Every word. Thank you. I was so frustrated watching this episode. That poor woman. She didn't even make a slur, let alone a "crude" one. Like you said, Cam, it was an aha moment said out loud. The whole thing shows a disturbed man with disordered thinking and irregulated emotions, period. This isn't about Lauren. They stuck her with someone who is very feminine who needs a strong man. That's it right there. I said it. I feel sorry for his struggles, but as Pat said, he needs to get help and it shouldn't be through the show. Lauren is one classy, smart woman. They did her wrong. I also agree with Pat about Clare. She seems to care less. I don't think Austin is really into Becca. And I really like Becca. I think she has a great personality. I also think they poorly matched Brennan with Emily. She needs to grow up. Re. the religion thing: I take my Faith seriously. And I want someone who shares my core values and worldview. How else can our souls have a deep intimacy? Everything flows from that. I also believe it's important to raise kids in a unified household. They will end up confused and rejecting religion if the parents contradict one another. Once she signed up for the show and the camera crew arrives at her house with Pastor Cal asking if she would might maybe consider a non-black man - her "time in the streets" should have been over. So, if this happened in December and they were married at the end of January... that might not have been too close (for some) if Lauren had not agreed to the statement when Orion said, "sex is more than just a physical act to me." Lots of people missing the point again but this time, Orion is not being honest with himself and her about the real issue. The key point is that her having sex while in the process of review for the show 2 months prior makes him uncomfortable. Anybody who believes in committed relationships, trust, and genuine love would be uncomfortable too. I would be extremely uncomfortable and remove sex from immediate consideration until we talk, and give it time to gain trust. If you know you are considering marriage, whether or not you have been approved, I think a faithful heart would wait instead of getting into any form of intimacy with another person. Two months after sex or emotional relationships to jump into marriage of all things is not respectful nor does it reflect seriousness about love, marriage, and long-term commitment. In today's immoral world, many will say this is ok but most people unconsciously do not know what love and relationship and marriage truly mean. However, whereas Lauren chose to be honest, he refused to admit that this pains him, then lied about how he felt until she got upset and cornered him. To make matters worse, based on both their admissions, the previous issue is now THE issue...!? We did not see that conversation but it is obvious that Orion is either playing mind-games to shift back blame to Lauren or he has completely lost interest in her and is looking for a way out with excuses rather than honesty and accountability. While I get that the sex discomfort could make him distrust her, including her previous apology, an honest person would say this clearly and admit to having trust issues instead of rehashing a past hurt for which she apologized. A mature person would say, hey, right now your action affects one of my values about sex, love, and trust. Let's get to know each other first... and give it time to see if she is trustworthy, while himself being trustworthy. Neither of them is ready for marriage and it is sad how something so simple has become a heartache.

I have been waiting for your analysis. I knew Pat would stand on bidness and offer to un-punkify Orion. Orion is in a sunken place and sadly doesn’t even realize it or have any awareness. Lauren was honest that she is sexually fluid. My offering, is that Orion is also sexually fluid, but hasn’t openly processed it or accepted it. I believe this in part made him use that Lauren had sex before she was notified that the experts had found her a match. OMG the “Dr. Cal” phone call. I don’t (can’t even sit through it) watch the show anymore. However, the short clips and re-caps make me crazy. I can’t stand to even look at Orion. He is ridiculous! He is so EXTRA! I am very fair and get terrible sun burns. Was at a fun camping/water park and Complete Strangers Daily would make comments like, “ouch that looks painful” or give me advice on sunscreen. Did not faze me one bit. My boyfriend is black and he has never once said “oh I feel like a minority in this relationship”! If he did, my reply would be, “hey I am not about to keep a man who doesn’t want to be kept” keep it moving. Ridiculous. But hey love you two, too funny. #RelationshipGoals

Great recap. I think for me this was one of the funniest EVER! I'm not a fan of Orion at all. Didn't like him from the beginning and like him even less now. Personally, I think Lauren has compromised a lot of her true self to try and pacify Orion and that's something I can't stand seeing as a woman. I don't believe and haven't from the get-go, that these two will make it. I agree with you, Patrick, joking or not, that Orion is basically a male Karen within the process. And by the way, I'm sorry to hear that any of those things you mentioned that happened to you, happened. That wasn't right or Christian of anyone to do something like that. Bless you both cause now I don't have to watch that episode. LOL..... Have a great day.

Orion is the new KZbin "Ken"... He's a "victim" in his on mind...... Lauren should di- vorce this "loser". There are some people who try to "gaslight" others in think- ing they have a problem just to control them . Remember he told Lauren's father that he likes to be in control. That's when Lauren's father gave him the"side eye" that look father's give when they do not like the guy their daughter is either dating or in this case his new son- in-law.
