Aww the cat asleep on the sofa is such a cutie!! :) Aside from that I have to say I really do like this tiny house. It is simple and open yet extremely well thought. The top elements of the house for me are the desk/dining/telly area, the kitty litter with access through the bathroom for kitty, and the round shower which is unique, adds incredible character, yet it is so practical! Chris and Malissa also look really happy living in it which for me adds to the appeal of tailoring a space to meet your needs and really to make you happy and comfortable. Thanks for sharing this, its really a great inspiration!

Jenna, I have watched all of your videos multiple times. As we draw close to starting our build, this spring, I am returning to your videos because you cover the nuts and bolts of the inner workings of the tiny house. I greatly appreciate this information. I can educate myself about a system and then watch/ read one of your interviews and see the technology implemented in a tiny house. All the best. Thanks again for what you do.

I saw so much that I liked in this video about tiny house living. Here is my list. 1) Cats make awesome tiny house pets even with an interior liter box. 2) This couple are so symbiotic. I loved the way they talked and worked together. 3) The home it self is designed to work of grid, this is perfect for tiny houses. 4) The smaller door. 5) The roomy loft 6) The warm wood tones 7) The soft kitchen lighting. 8)The pocket bathroom door with the outhouse moon carved into it. 9) The indoor metal water tank that pings longer when it's almost empty. 10) The incinolet toilet. (keep in mind that they have solar offgrid power only. ) 11) The solar off grid power. 12) The fact that they planed the size and upgradability of the house around their future expanding family. 13) Their miniscule $300 lot rent. 14) The beautiful stain and innumerable little details of their house and how they live and work together that makes their home and home life a shining example of what every body's house and home life should be like. *BRAVO!*

***** But they have it vented to the outside.
@desktorp9 жыл бұрын
Anthony Rizzo Bro, if you think a vent is going to stop cat shit particles from infecting their blood and brain, you're wrong. It's one thing to choose to live in something the size of a standard jail cell, but choosing to cram a kitty in there really brings the filth to another level. I love cats, but they're disgusting animals.
@AnthonyRizzo29 жыл бұрын
***** I don't think you do love cat's. I've owned dogs and cats all my life and my cats have always been cleaner than my dogs. Cat's also take up less space and in some cases spend the majority of their time outside the house. Also the fact that you compare tiny houses to a jail cell also tells me that they wouldn't be a good candidate for your living arrangements. A person who lives in a jail cell is a prisoner. Do you understand that? A person who lives in a tiny house has made a conscience choice to downsize belongings and useless space and live around what really matters only! Can you see where a cat would fit into this? Some people need their pets be they cats, dog or other for companionship. A cat can be an integral part of tiny house living.
@AnthonyRizzo29 жыл бұрын
Tenebarum I guess it would depend on where the house is parked and if they have access to toilets elsewhere.

My wife and I love watching these tiny house films with you Jenna. But every time I tell her let's build one and move into it she comes up with excuses :Too much stuff an nowhere to keep it and it makes no sense to put it into storage" is the usual one. She cracks me up. I'm ready and willing to drop everything and do it. Been ready to do this for years. In fact, back in 2013 when I lost my over the road business and was looking for work out of state I was actually thinking of just buying some cheap land out of the way and starting over with a tiny home, bt they weren't a big item then. And look how far they've come! People who do this obviously have set backs and have to make some major changes but in the long run it's worth it because it's theirs and they can take it anywhere if they get evicted. I love that thought and have always wanted my own place away from everyone else. So...we love your show and these wonderful people who do this. What a nice thing they're doing for themselves and can teach their kids later on.

Tiny videos really aren’t always minimalistic and “green” or “hippy”, that’s a bonus but not really a full reality. Saying that, it’s not negative. Tiny house is basically a beautiful apartment and the joy of exploring and learning in building... Something we used to do in generations before us. Wonderful \^^/

I started using peatmoss in my litterbox instead of litter, it works GREAT! I just start with a very small layer and in the evenings sprinkle enough to cover any business done that day, no smell at all, after a week or two change it out, rinse pan and viola we start again.
