I believe this was gonna be the storyline for season 4, as the last episode seems very rushed and sudden. It was also very “crammed” with short pieces of every situation. I was very disappointed! They missed other elements like where is Brandon and who is his daddy? What happened to Wendy? Why didn’t Khalil and Jen get to say goodbye 😫

*I'M GOING TO TRULY MISS THE PIERCE FAMILY* It felt a little rushed but it was still a good finale! China came back and showed out! I like the direction they went in with there being a bigger consequence for Jen for going up to the ionosphere pulling the energy. I knew there was something off with JJ. To me though Jennifer had the best character development, she came back on her zen after being trapped in the ionosphere. Jen took her DNA back and reconstituted her body and she embraced her full lightning pure energy form to defeat that ionosphere entity. Khalil having to forget he ever met the Pierces for Jen's sake was bittersweet. Lala having the final say was dope. Tobias met his maker. Of course Jen took down Lopez without even trying Jen mastered her abilities more while being trapped in the ionosphere.

A rushed as hell finale, but they did what they could with the time that they had. That final Tobias vs. Black Lightning fight was disappointing as hell. The writer did an interview recently. The show was suppose to go on to at least season 6. A lot of the storylines had to be trashed to get an ending for this season. Too bad it all had to end like this. 😢

Not happy about Black Lightning ending after only 4 seasons and I'm really upset about Painkiller not being picked up. I was under the impression that when they announced Painkiller, it was a lock that it was picked up but then we got the news that they were still waiting then Jordan himself confirmed that it hadn't been picked up! They really got me behind Khalil/Painkiller in the last 5 episodes. They could've had the legacy of Black Lightning go on, we could've seen Lightning &/Thunder & Wylde (Grace) again. **sighs** The finale was a journey. I appreciated it. There were parts that definitely felt rushed. There were a few awkward music moments where I thought that they were gonna kill off characters like Gambi or Anissa. JJ being from the ionosphere and stealing Jen's whole existence?! That was NUTS and we had no clue! I really wish it was possible for this to have been built up more. It was so good seeing China back again. Tobias is DEAD! FINALLY! I wish that the entire Pierce family could've been around to either see it, or help give the killing blows LMAO! Khalil giving up his memories of Jen and us not getting the Painkiller show hurts. Lala's return at the end....RANDOM AF!

I'm so glad they brought the real Jenn back. Honestly, I never liked JJ as much as Jenn. Also, everyone was paying attention to JJ's similar DNA and not her spirit This felt more like a season finale instead of a series finale. There's still hella cliffhangers: Lazarus Prime (the necromancer guy), the teleport guy, Lady Eve, Gravedigger. There's so many unanswered questions, and that's not even including the stories they started with Painkiller which won't happen now. Despite that, I liked this finale. I wouldn't say it saved the season 4, but this is definitely the best episode

Why was the Police Captain Lady so obsessed with Lightning? She didn't come after everyone else with that same disdain and intensity, they never explained that. And you mean to tell me Jeff left Tobias' body hanging on that high ledge for the birds to poop on while him and the family had a celebration party? I wanted their last fight to be a knock down, dragged out street fight going through walls and for the people of Freeland to see. Or at the end of the fight Tobias survives (just barely) and starts talking shit, and WHAM! LaLa takes him out. This show knew it was cancelled since the beginning of the season, so why end it like that? This was one of the few good episodes this season, but it wasn't the BEST because it felt rushed.

I think they already started writing scripts when they got the news of the cancellation. Remember, in China's video, she said they found out the show was ending the DAY it was announced. Season was not planned as the ending. Salim was already thinking about season 5. Plus, Covid caused some rewrites as well.

It totally make sense now J.J took half of jens DNA while she was in space. that's why J.J looked completely different from the original jen by leaving half of her energy from outer space while leaving most of her inside of her brain that's how J.J ending up having all of jens memories and also including most of her powers. so when J.J went back up into space getting pulled by massive strong amount energy witch is basically Jen of course getting her actual form and appearance back from J.J

Time to close the chapter for Black Lightning. 😥😥😥Sad that it ended on a mostly bad note but I still appreciate the impact it had, a show with a black family of superheroes as the leads. My younger brother actually put me on this show and the second season was in the middle of airing. I bingewatched the first season(loved it) and caught up to the second season. I'm still mad after 4 seasons the only crossover they had was a 5mins bit in Crisis. Flash was able to go to Supergirl in her first season and she was on CBS at the time. He hopped Networks

I'm soo glad China came back because I stopped watching it for a while. Glad she finished. But I can definitely see the cracks in the relationships and has with the cast based on the interactions. Smh.

I don't understand how the drama side of the CW is getting spinoffs, but the superhero side is consistently getting dropped. They could move the superhero spinoffs straight to HBOmax, that way its a win win.

This Season wasn't my favorite but the Finale was really good Felt rushed a bit It felt really Good to see China in the Finale. The best thing of this Season was Jordan as Khalil/PainKiller I wish Cw picked his show maybe HBO Max can pick it up. I really gonna Miss Black Lightning It was such a good run and Underrated Arrowverse Shows
