Excellent video! I bought mine from Japan for around half of the price in US. Most of people are purchasing it for HF but I would love to see UHF/VHF TX unlocked as well. Subscribed~

Thank you very much for your comment, it is very encouraging to know that my research is useful. I have a video where I explain how to open V/U but only in RX: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXy5kmtnZb6LfLc I don't really know if it's possible, my findings point to the fact that it has firmware limitations, and I don't know if it's possible to update it. When removing the diodes D932 and D933 the system asks me to change the firmware, I have not tried this change, but it is possible that this is the only solution to have a "FULL MARS MOD" in the Japanese version. 73!
