Big reading. I'm 5/11 & that bit about life begins at getting cancelled was great. You said "My life is terrible and it's my fault is masochism. My life is terrible and it's your fault is sadism". I wondered what was wrong with the Marquis' life?? I think sadism is "your life is terrible and it's your fault". Pure blame. "My life is terrible and it's your fault" would be some kind of annhilationism or whatever you'd call the situation in that children's book, "The Whipping Boy". Did you ever read that?
