I don’t understand what people are failing to get about the Usher tribute being all female. He has spend his entire life & dedicated his career to singing for women, and it was their turn to sing for him - that was the concept & it made every sense. Okay, so artists who are honored at any award ceremony has say on who they want honoring them. Another thing is, has anyone thought that some of the people Usher wanted to perform were 1. Had schedule conflicts 2. Some people aren't cool with him, and 3. Just didn't want to do it? There could be a plethora of reasons why the tribute went the way it did. Can't solely blame it on BET when the artist who is receiving the tribute has some control. Btw, Childish Gambino stepped in at the last minute to do the tribute because I think one of the performers was supposed to do it, not him. And something I nearly forgot, Usher is sort of linked to P. Diddy so who knows what the industry thinks of him and/or seen, i.e. the artists he really wanted.
