Hi I'm Marshall Dane.
Welcome to my latest video as of May 3rd, 2024.
No Need To Speak
A song inspired by the Deaf and made for the world to shed light on understanding and listening with your eyes.
I started learning Sign Language in 2017...and since then..my life has changed dramatically for the better.
This video was shot in the fields of Ballantrae by Cinematographer Artem Mykhailetskyi
Editing and colouring was provided by Hazem Ghoreb.
ASL Interpretation was provided by my dear friend and CODA, Vera Goudie.

My writing partner Rosanne Baker Thornley is an incredible word angel and she is the primary reason these lyrics flow and read so beautifully.
My producer, Will Schollar, albeit a new friend to me, this young man has an old soul as an artist and producer and yet captivates the excitement of modern production. He allowed the lyrics to breath, settle and then carry them into the dramatic climax that is the bridge.
Ben Pelchat was our mixing engineer and he absolutely bent the rules to let us walk away with a mix that had pulse and passion.

Marshall Dane is not your typical Artist / Songwriter.

What also sets Marshall apart is his use of American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate with the Deaf community. As the son of a minister, he was raised with a strong sense of compassion and inclusivity which extends to his music and his dedication to helping others. By incorporating ASL into his performances, he not only makes his music accessible to the Deaf, but he also raises awareness of this community.
Marshall's talent has to-date earned him five nominations for Male Artist of the Year at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards. He has also graced the stages of renowned music festivals such as Boots and Hearts, Sarnia Bayfest, The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) and the Calgary Stampede and has performed shows supporting Alan Jackson, Blue Rodeo, Eric Church and many more.
A unique blend of country, rock and singer-songwriter, Marshall's music has a universal appeal that transcends borders. His music has captured the hearts of the Canadian audience, as well as the hearts of an international audience with his songs playing on radio across Canada and the United States, including KX96, Great Lakes Country 102, Pure Country,iHeart Radio, CBC and Rogers.
