Marshall JCM 2000 TSL602 60W

I love my TSL 602 Marshall. It was my first Marshall amp. However, after some time with it the 'honeymoon' faded. So I started on a quest on a 'tone-chase' with swapping out speakers and pre-amp tubes. In the end I upgraded the cheap-ass cheesy puny transformers to Mercury Magnetics 'Axiom' line of transformer and a proper choke, NOS RCA, JAN Phillips, and Telefunken pre-amp tubes and scrapped the combo and tuned it into a head with a hand-made birch plywood cabinet that I built. Now I REALLY love my TSL as I have three 4X12 cabinets to choose from. It sounds best on my EVH 5150 4X12 cabinet with the EVH 'greenback' Celestions. An outstanding rig to say the least. I have one and I love it. I find it works very well with twin humbuckers and you get that classic rock tone. These amps are heavy. I had a JCM 900 head and half stack cab 20 years ago but I prefer this amp. It's got real balls. Lovely tone you got in this video.

For me the perfect combination is Marshall and Les Paul, the amp is pretty heavy. JCM900 is a beautiful amp.

O volume estava no meio, assim o Amp é legal esse não esta mais comigo. se for comprar pra usar em casa tem que abrir pro som ficar quente. Os falantes são originais Celestion.

Fucking sick! This amplifier sound awesome! I'm thinking to buy Marshall JCM 2000 TSL 602 COMBO at home in an apartment . I already have homemade valve amplifier 45 watt (with switch to 10 watt) with 12" Vintage 30 speaker, based peavey classic 30 (but with one channel and without reverb). And it's ok sound on apartment. At what volume reveals this combo (JCM2000 tsl 602)? Half volume? Or i can switch to 2-3 and it will be sound good? This combo may sound thin like Yngwie Malmsteen sound, or it's thick closer in sound VOX? Tell me please, what songs are you playing in this video? With best regards :)

And it's have master volume. So i may volume up and shake up amplifier and then down master volume and it will be sound not loud but with enough gain and compression. Or I'm wrong? Tell me please, Rodrigo Borges!

Does not distort anything, can increase up to the maximum that does not distort. I still use pedal to push the drive and does not distort anything. Celestion speaker is the best

Olha o maluco aqui... Mano esse é mais duro, soco no peito. O 401 mais macio por conta da el84. Duas propostas diferentes, mesmo objetivo. Som marcante marshall. 401 em casa, tsl em show. Uso um laney head 100w valvulado, é estúpido o punch... Tudo é bom, cada coisa no seu contexto.

@@jalaskabtu ta bem servido , eu tô com um peavey bandit 112, e um code 25 e um 401 , code para ensaio onde não precisa muito volume , bandit para show que pode transportar sem perigo e o jcm em casa (nem ligo kkkk) mas é um ampli que sempre quis ter

@@julianotaday2 só amp massa, viu curtiu o code? Nunca tive, tenho curiosidade, celular, etc. Bandido já tive vários, melhor solid state de todos, clean matador, bom pra pedais e bom peso. O Marshall é top.

@@jalaskabtu code é muito bom, sons bem convincente , o meu é 25w mas de boa, ele soa alto, consegui fazer ensaio com banda barulhenta de boa , ele microfonado e largando nos retornos não deixa a desejar em show , o de 50 então , deve ser melhor ainda , sem contar o peso, é uma pena para carregar , tendo um foot de grande (que é o que tenho ) vc faz tudo nele , muito bom. Clean lindo, e até às simulações dele são bem bacanas.

@@RodrigoBorgesGuitarra I bought one last week and the guy just plugged his Epiphone Les Paul straight in and even at a low volume it caught me by the balls ...... i could not imagene how easy it was to create a sound like many pop / rock bands produce ......Pedals ???? Mhhhh i allready had them ( i had a Roland Jazz - Chorus 77 ;-) , soooo clean !!!!! ) so i Have a Maxon OOD-9 Organic Overdrive Distortion and a MXR Deep Phase and a Digital Delay, but ...... your video shows the versatility of this beautyfull amp !!!!!
