I always like the Music k Schmidt reviews, even though my German is only one word in about 3. Love the JVM I have the 410 head and it's been a keeper, sold my old DSL and Laney and just kept the JVM.

Superb amp. I got three - this one, Laney Ironhrart and Orange Dark Terror. Ironheart is good, but lacks personality a little. Orange is fantastic, but that's for "THAT ORANGE SOUND" - thick and velvety. Marshall is pure bloody metal. PURE BLOODY METAL ))

Brauche Hilfe ! Welche art von Amps sind zu empfehlen wenn man professionelle Studioaufnahmen machen will? Sind 100 Watt Vollröhre zu laut/stark? Oder besser Modeling Amp ? Bezüglich Aufnahmen im studio und die gebrauchte Lautstärke... Und sollte man für verzerrung ein pedal benutzen oder lieber das gain vom amp selbst ?

it also depends on what kind of guitar you use, but the amp could get very close to the sound if you use it right

das ist der joey. kriegt aus jedem stück equipment den absolut schlechtesten sound raus, der irgendwie möglich ist. den amp mag ich auch nicht wirklich, aber er klingt immer noch viel besser als hier gezeigt.

Hi. I am thinking of buying the jvm205 head but i m a bit confused about storing presets. Can i have 1st preset -clean channel orange mode, effect loop on reverb on, volume at 5, 2nd preset - od channel, green mode, effect loop on reverb off volume at 6, and 3rd preset Od channel, orange mode, effect loop on , reverb off and volume at 8? I basically want a clean sound a crunch sound and a lead sound with different volume. Can i do that? Thank you

I know it's been almost a year but just in case... If it works like the 410h, which I'm pretty sure does, presets ''remember'' eveything EXCEPT volume settings. It's always playing at the volume it is physically set on the amp at that moment.

I have the 410 Head Version at home and i live in an small flat on top level. With the master vol you can turn the amp so low that you hear nothing in the room next door, and so low that you hear your pick louder is no problem. I think with the 50 watt version you can equalize it more better. so yes, you can play it very low when someone sleeps in the other room :-) rock on.

Take a look how electric guitars are recorded in studio situations. You'll notice that the mics are pretty damn close to the grill cloth almost always.

@socccero Kommt darauf an welche! Ich spiele die rote, limitierte Edition vom JVM mit einer 4x12-er TV Box, einfach nur göttlich. Also die Tall Vintage mit Greenbacks, allerdings ist die TV ja ein bisschen größer und dann drücken die Greenies auch mehr.. ;)

@lesstrat91 also ich hab beide angespielt und fand dass der 205er wesentlich besser klingt hab aber dann mal bei thomann nachgefragt und die ham gemeint die grundsounds wärn die gleichen also der 410 hat qausi eifach nur mehr möglichekiten aber wenn das stimmt dass is der 410er echt schwer zu bedienen ich kann mich auch iefach nich zwischen beiden entscheiden xD

I think that is just what happens whenever you turn the gain near 10 or all the way to 10 on the overdrive channel, especially if you're using the orange or red mode on that channel. I tried one before and understand this. At 5:35 in the video, the guy is using the red mode on the overdrive channel with the gain set to 8. So there ya go.

Y es i know but recording is a complely different thing than demoing an amp.You record a guitar so that the sound can be mixed with other sounds and reworked. Raw guitar takes are awfull ,but damn cool after mastering ( when properly done)

I have a JVM and i must say that the demo is not revelant at all of the actual sound. You shouldn t put the mic so close to the speakers when recording.Nobody listen to an amp the ear sticked to the cabinet.
