I'm so glad I saw this reaction. It was mine the first time I heard it when it dropped. Marine Corps family. My brother and 2 cousins were serving when this came out. One is dead, the other two are damaged goods mentally. I joined and went to war because of the same economic recession you mentioned. I've been listening to Em since the late 90s and knew he was crazy good. I don't understand how people still don't think he's the GOAT. I understand 2 Pac and Jay Z and others have hits, have followers, and have done political statements, but if you look at Em's discography there are tons of heavy hitting political statements. He has the corny stuff, the shock value rap, the radio friendly club hits and all that, but he's done a TON for his city, community, and fan base.

after this was the first time em was investigated by the secret service so it basically is a repeat of history for em between bush and trump. if you like these kind of songs from him then square dance is another really good one to check out. there is a video for this(mosh) but it probably didn't come up quickly cause it's been kinda hidden and has alot less views and that compared to his other videos due to the political content and it not being wanted to get out by other people
