The one amp I really miss is my Studio 22. The lead tones on that little thing were SWEET!!!

I havent played a TSL 100, but have owned a Dual Recto, valveking, and now own a Mark IV. The TSL 60 doesnt have as much head room, but never had trouble keeping up with my drummer, bass player, and other guitar player. Some people say the like the tone of the 60 more than the 100, I sold mine to my other guitarist and he loves it. If I didnt have my Mark IV I would still be using it.

So many people bash these TSL's. Great Marshall design, 3 channels and easy to dial in! WHY? JCM 2000 = JCM 800 with options!!! Sounds GREAT!

@zachsara7 Great. Glad you found something you like. I have a Peavey too and yes, they are good amps. But tone is subjective. I could plug in to the same amp that you hate and my tone would blow you away because I love the TSL and the TSL tone just works for me. Chances are you plug in to a TSL and don't like the sound so it just doesn't work for you. That's cool, I get it. But they are still good amps and very reliable. I have the 100 watt and it's a beast, even at low volumes. XXX is great too

It depends for what you use it. If you use it for home practice or if you're in a band, it's more than loud enough. But if you gig alot you might want to consider the 100W version. But the 60W would also do just fine since you connect your amp to the PA.

@primeholy I have a TSL 100. Good amp for used price? The Marshall TSL is one of the best amps out there PERIOD. I don't know about anyone else, but I can get some serious metal tones out of mine. This one doesn't appear to have as many bells and whistles as mine. Mine has the mid scoop button, a deep button, the V.P.R., separate EQ for all three channels, mid boost switch on the clean channel, separate EF volume controls for clean and dirty channels, silent recording, etc etc. mean ass amp.

@tylerguitar17 Some not so coveted cheaper celestions. Dont remember exactly. My singer owns this amp now and is playing it through a Marshall 410 and it sounds pretty badass!

No pedals. Any clicking you hear is the amps footswitch. This was the first time I ever played it too.

I have heard numorous times that the combos are terrible. And on the head and the combos, the build quality isnt the best. Not bad, but not great. The build quality of my Mesa Dual Recto was much better, and my current Mark IV is better also. After listening to this clip again , I wish I hadnt sold it to my rhythm guitarist, but alas it would still be a backup :(
