The horchata in Mexico and Spain are prepared with different core ingredients. Whereas the Mexican one is made from rice, the Spanish one is made from tigernuts. I like both!!!

Will try out next time I’m in MM. But would be great if they offered a Chivo version (goat), and also gave you a cup of that Birria consommé to enjoy w/the takos. Those are the traditional ways it’s made/offered in the origin (Jalisco) .

You love tacos eh.. me not much but can have them once in a while. The horchata you had is from South American countries especially Mexico. Made from rice. The original horchata is from Spain or rather Valencia, Spain or Africaz The difference is Spanish Horchata de Chufa is made from tiger nuts which is not a nut but the roots of a wetland plant called sedge. In my opinion the Spanish horchata de chufa is far superior in taste than the Mexican Horchata. I have tried both in Spain and in Mexico. It is a refreshing drink in Spanish summer. I found some of the Spanish Horchata de chufa in Manila. But i find it overpriced. Thanks for the video.

@@gregoriosmith6994 yes even in the north of Mexico where we tend to use flour a lot more we still use only corn for the tacos, however for quesadillas and burritos we use flour

I used to work in a fastfood restaurant in manila in the80’s .we only used corn tortillas for our tacos.even in mexico,they usually use just corn tortilla as theyre cheaper than flour.i prefer flour.i live here in mcallen and travel extensively to interior of mexico thru reynosa by plane.
