The Filipino Food looks good Marshall…. specially because they have good produce in Thailand; the garnish of sunflower soriuts on the Tortang Talong or eggplant omelet;many of the items you ordered have their Thai counterparts which are easy to relate to with your Thai guests….great vlog Bro!!!

Very nice restaurant, happy to see our cuisine so nicely presented for our ASEAN neighbors to discover and enjoy.

Ah pinakbet is lovely. They are right about the fishiness though. Usually we use shrimp paste, so bagoong, in Thai it is kapi. BUT you can also use fermented fish sauce, bagoong isda, which in Thai is padaek. This is what I love about eating foods from other ASEAN nations, we have similar ingredients and dishes but just enough differences to make them unique, so we feel the homeyness that reminds us of our family and country.

Classy and very tastefully decorated place. The food looked delicious too. It definitely appears like a restaurant that caters to the hip foodie! The price is consistent with its style and ambiance.
@marshallbuttersvlogs68802 жыл бұрын
The diners seemed to me to be mainly Filipinos who were pretty well off. It's certainly not cheap but, it's Filipino fine dining really.
@crasusiyoy6062 жыл бұрын
@@marshallbuttersvlogs6880 a place that attracts foodies generally takes into consideration the decor and food presentation. It is assumed that the diner will not get food poisoning or develop heart problems for indulging in their food. That all factors into the pricing which the Filipino restauranteur has caught up with within the past 20 years here in the NYC area.
