@@SimplyDuker Tosh, who's right about everything else he says, repeatedly calls her a honeypot, mentioning that the zerg's attack on Agria was suspicious, and if you side against Haven, he specifies that she was a honeypot trap from the very beginning: If the Dominion had allowed the colonists in, it would have caused the zerg infestation to ravage the core worlds Side note: The precursor to evolution missions was planet conquests. Infesting Haven was intended to be one of those conquests. There's a book set on Haven that proves as much as well iirc

“Terran who infest herself with Zerg” In that alternate timeline where Jim sides with the Protoss against the colonists, Ariel was frantically rushing her research and most likely accidentally infected herself in the process. Accidents happen all the time in the lab, especially if you’re rushing and not being careful enough. I once received facial burns from splashing myself with some phenol whole performing a RNA extraction from some viruses I had lying around.

Did anyone else justa dore Ariel? I really did, and I really regretted choosing the frickin protoss at that one point. The second campaign, I was all with her. Then she left....*sigh*. Come back, Sarah Kerrigan. Poor Jim. The man is a warrior, and he shoulders twice as much as most warriors are expected to.

Nova lied, but after chosing Tosh, most of the characters (Swan and Tychus) are showing their disapproval of this decision. Tychus said that Mengsk locked up the specters for a reason.

But the Spectres served me well in WOL, so I can tolerate having them around. Heck, I'd give them legal powers similar to the Spectres in Mass Effect.

To get all this you quite literally have to refrain from getting the viking for most of the game. Not something I'm willing to do as it becomes pretty clear early on that you need a dedicated anti-air aircraft, plus something that can get in and out of hard to get to areas on the ground..

The Wraith can help make up the difference. especially since it gives you an all stealth air force when combined with the banshee.

I liked seeing the few final lines of her dialogue, I always dropped her off early in my playthroughs. Most of her dialogue is good, though the "my god thats just monstrous" line was just poorly delivered and made me cringe. (though that was in part due to the low amount of facial animations for her model.)

Ariel redeemed the spectres since it represents liberation or revolution version of Jim Raynor who hates mengsk. I mean the spectre's are part of dominion's ghost which they got enough with mengsk and its government.
