KeEf daBeEf they shouldve just run into the obvious run blitz because Wilson has never thrown tds from the 1 yard line. Oh and if he doesnt make it, they have to burn a time out which forces them to throw on 3rd down because there isnt enough time to do two run plays. If it was incomplete they would have run the ball. People like to think football is so deterministic when it's been proven to be not the case. They handed the ball to lynch the first game the following year against the rams and he failed to get the first down and they lost.

John Vallery if that's true, why did he get stopped in week 1 of the next year on 4th and 1. Should be a given right? There are no certainties. If he fails to make it you have to call time out. Then it's almost certain you have to pass on third down because if you run and fail to make it you run out of time. This isnt madden. And even if it was, there are times the defense will stop you.

Razorslash43 That's on the players not Pete didn't lose faith in Sherman when he got beat on a post route by Roddy White. He didn't lose faith when Lynch put the ball on the ground 4 in back to back playoff games in 2013. It was a great play call by Bevell. The problem was is that you had 2 backups trying to execute it. If Lockette or Kearse executed their job properly then that would have been a walk in TD. Not both just 1.

If Russell does what a quarterback is suppose to do on that play and hit the receiver in the chest with the ball it's a touchdown. The play call wasn't the problem. Russell threw the interception not Carroll or Bevel. If Marshawn had got the ball and fumbled. Who would you blame?

@Tyler Brown lol do you have any idea how hard it would be to fix just 1 play in a game? You'd have to have 22 guys all sync up to be at the right place at the right time. Like just for example what if Revis got pushed back another couple of inches and got in the way of Butler jumping the route and making the interception? Because if that happens then Matthews would've caught the ball for a TD and the Seahawks would've won. Or what if Butler jumped the route but he dropped the interception? Seahawks would've run it in on the next play. It's just so stupid when people say "they knew it was going to happen because it's all fixed" you have no idea how hard it would be to fix a football game and have fully scripted events.

That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. Beast Mode was not a goal line runner, period. The line was stacked against him and it made sense to pass on that down. A play action would have been better but still, how many times have we seen goal line stands? Plenty. At the end of the day, Russ is the same black as Lynch. Don't believe me, ask his wife.

lol Brady and the Patriots throw slants almost every game. There go to options within the 5yd line are 1) empty the backfield and have everyone slant cross the middle 2) have a back run a wheel, gronk run the fade and the receivers slant cross the middle or 3) have the slor receivers cut while the outside receivers run out routes and have gronk and the rb to block. (not including the qb sneak)
@thomaspaschke5830
@thomaspaschke5830 5 жыл бұрын
Cetto - that may be true but let’s further breakdown what exactly happened, or what was supposed to happen. 1) they put a SB in the hands of their #4 or #5 WR in Lockette 2) in order for the play to work Kearse HAD to block Browner back into the Malcolm so Malcolm couldn’t cut off the route. Browner was one of the most if not the most physical DB’s in the game at that time 3) Russell threw it high and away from Lockette. Russell is a really good QB but he doesn’t have the accuracy Brady does 4) That same play was ran the previous week against GB. Belichick out-coached Carroll there given that an undrafted FA (rookie?) knew what play was coming
