I must say much respect! I read your entire description as I always do. For the benefit of others reading this, I can confirm it's true. You have allowed opposing views in your comments, at least mine. I assume my comment was left because it was respectful, a combination of facts and opinions that challenged your ideas and not your character and in fact, I even heavily complimented your talents, both instrumental and vocal. I remember even saying my comment would probably be deleted because I figured either you guys or KZbin itself would remove it, but then no one did. I appreciate that you are open to the idea that you and many others could be wrong. One thing I also mentioned in my potentially controversial comment is that he's not perfect and I don't agree with everything he says and does. But all this talk about n*zi, fac*sm, hi*ler, etc is just wrong. He was already president once and everything, literally every measurable statistic, was better when he was president. Do you know why we came out in droves? Because everyone is sick and tired of the woke nonsense, all the lies, the increase of crime due to open borders, the fact that even more wealthy people are struggling to keep up financially, the number of women and girls who are losing their athletic opportunities because of guys pretending to be gals just to dominate their sports and have access to their locker rooms and bathrooms. People who once were considered "well off" are now more like lower middle class. It's wild. All along they were saying it was close. It was never close. He won by a landslide. Why did it appear close? Because many of us chose not to answer the questionnaires that provided data for those polls. Most of us have seen the unhinged behavior of extreme leftists and chose not to advertise in advance who we already knew we were voting for. I will tell you the same thing I've been telling many others: over the next few years, and with results visible within the next several months, you will see that he's not the evil monster that mainstream media would have you believe. We, his supporters, are not all racists, bigots, anti women, etc any more than he is. He got rid of Roe Vs Wade. He didn't end the right to that unfortunate thing, he just gave states the power to decide, as it should be. Obviously I'm pro life but regardless of your views on any topic, one thing most people can agree on is that the federal government should have only minimal say about our personal lives and choices. I've had plenty of pro choice people agree with me on that. Ab*rtion is the number one most heated topic in my opinion, and it's often the deciding factor as to who someone votes for. Trump is pro life but he's also realistic. He's not going to ban it federally. If he were going to do that, or any of the other nonsense the far left media would have you believe, he would have done it during his first term. I could go on and on but my comment is already long. Just know I appreciate your humility in acknowledging perhaps you and many, many others have been incorrect, misinformed. Much love from a huge fan who loves your music regardless of your beliefs! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I can't believe that anyone would tell you that young people shouldn't be involved in politics. It is their world too, and I like that you guide them to look at all sides of issues. If your kids end up having differing views than you, or not, either way they are coming from a place of knowledge and thought, instead of just parroting what someone tells them. As far as it goes here in the US, it is clear to me that people would rather elect a monster than a woman for President. Had his opponent been male, I don't think he would have won at all. Anyway, we do just have to see what happens now, and hope is about all we have to hang onto. Many thanks for your music and your caring. I know that this is a global thing, everyone may be affected.

They were involved and among voters 18-29, 53% of the males went to Trump and 60% of the females went for Harris. So turnout projected to that demo was overhyped at least on the non-MAGA side. The Christian Right has been working on getting its younger people to vote the radical Christian platform. The only other gender split I found so far was among Hispanics where 55% of the men voted for Trump and 62% of the women vvoted for Harris. Course now some Hispanic Trump voters are now figuring out that their citizenship doesn't extend to undocumented family members and deportations will start by Jan. 21 starting with the workplaces. Which will be that time of year construction sites, garment production, meat packing, fisheries, dairies, chicken processing plants. Also asylum seekers and migrants living in hotels, DACAs.etc. The most difficult people to find will be the actual criminals in a population of people with lower crime committing rates than in the citizen population. Not sure a male could have beaten the red tide b/c both houses of congress went MAGA. I think my state's governor was a potential nominee and has made announcements that he won't enforce any illegal acts or laws by MAGA government. He could make 2016 Trump pee in his pants with a single phone call. Not sure about 2024's version.

I read what you wrote about the comments you have received, and just want to throw in my two cents from Canada. First, I hope you're wrong as well, and that I am, and that sweetness and harmony and loving empathy and caring come about in the United States....but I sure don't think that's going to happen - and it's all terrifying. Second, I think it's absolutely wonderful that you have raised your kids to be so aware of what is happening in the world and that you are empowering them to become involved and have a voice. From everything I can see, they are all feisty enough to disagree with you if they want. They are very lucky kids (and of course, you are lucky parents to have them). Keep at it!

Absolutely brilliant. Even as a straight cover, it would have been one of the best of many versions I've ever heard - easily on par with Aerosmith's. However, the combination of (extremely difficult) optimism, humility, and legitimate fear in the new lyrics are spot on. Now, all of us who have spent the last few years hoping DJT got an orange jumpsuit instead of near-total power -given full control of Congress, his own party, the Supreme Court majority, and their immunity decision - are in the position of hoping we were wrong about everything. Unfortunately, I just can't bring myself to see the positive side of indiscriminate tarriffs, mass deportation, a cabinet full of enablers, or his plans for Ukraine and Palestine. But, this does help. Thanks!

50/50 is too close with such diametrically opposed 'talent'. Unbelievable outcome. 😢 Good luck to everyone

We need music now, more than ever to reach our souls and provide laughter and beauty and comfort and solace and joy while we endure the pain and suffering caused by people who have been taken over by a zombie virus.

Great adaption of this song, well done Marsh family ! I fear that words like efficiency and care will soon be banned from the US vocabulary. A tiny correction to your song: the economy was not down in the US. Please make a song about the oligarchs ruling the entire world. It was their inflation and their media who had people pushed into electing the idiocracy that will follow.

Thank you for this video. I listened to your last one (bohemian rhapsody) and wasn't happy about it, but as you said in the discription, "Everything should be up for discussion." I agree fully and I have great respect for you all for considering the other side of the coin in this one. I have been a fan for many years and will continue to be. Your talents are tremendous and are improving constantly. I hope you continue to make music (and address issues on both sides) for many years to come. You are certainly unique in what you do.

Hard to come together with someone who continually punches you in the face... but if the hand doing the punching decides to stop and offer itself in peace and a genuine desire to work together to move the country (all of it!) forward once again, I for one would be willing to try. Until then I remain on guard, not because I want to, but because there is no other choice.

You are definitely one talented musical family. Perhaps you might end up giving the Defranco family, the Jackson family, or even the von Trapps a run for their money! I can objectively admit that although our political viewpoints do not align. I give you all major props for posting this and admitting that it is possible that the fears that you may have had about the results of this election may not come to pass. I can definitely agree with the general message of this song, as this country has been very very divided ever since such a polarizing figure had entered the US political arena in 2016. Keep doing what you are passionate about and don't let mean comments (including some of mine) ever deter you from doing so!
@a-liberal-patriot2 ай бұрын
I'm quite sure my political viewpoints don't align with yours, yet I agree with your post. Especially, agreeing with the general message of this song, and putting the Marsh family on the same level as the Jacksons and von Trapps. Let's quit squabbling about accusations and name-calling, and start working on real problems. It won't be easy: disagreements among ourselves is one of the hallmarks of democracy. So is discussion toward reaching a solution. Respect.

Thank you for great music and thoughtful commentary. I am so tired of people framing politics as a battle. Fighting, war, arguing are a waste of time, resources, and energy. Politics should be a process for people with opposing ideas to find their points of common interest to work together for common goals and good governance.

Thank you. I have been listening to your lyrics to this song (since release) as a mental health break. The changes I NOW anticipate here in the U.S. frighten me. I was caught totally off guard by the number of common folk who did not choose to turn the page and work towards unity. The cabinet nominations are just ABSURD 😢😢😢😢. So what were the common folk choosing? Listening to you, gratefully. ❤❤❤❤

Trippy! As a young man in the 1960s, I was part of the grassroots antiwar movement. Bob Dylan, the Beatles, and others fueled us. Now, we need them and modern musicians to fuel our resistance. ✊🏽
