Love it. Like how to explain all your thought processes while fishing on a tough day. Glad it’s getting warmer!

When I a youngster my dad would take a Colman stove, iron skillet, shorting, and a couple of potatoes. We ate on the bank fish we caught. We took some fish home as well. He had a Falstaff long neck and an orange crush for me.

Must be great memories. No fishing trip of my adult life will ever match the joy I felt as a kid fishing with my maternal grandfather.

I remember the video I remember cringing when he dumped the oysters in like you, I can’t eat oysters. The only ingredients missing is lemon and some tortillas.

Love your videos. Curious what kind of baitcaster reel you use for saltwater? Or do you just rinse them off every time. Looking at getting one to fish in saltwater. Keep up the great videos👍👍🐟🎣
@MarshManMasson11 ай бұрын
I use an Okuma Hakai. It's not a saltwater reel, but it's light and durable. The water I fish generally isn't all that high in salinity.

The spots that are gonna be on the turf wont come off mr todd. I did that with a propane grill on mine. Maybe tallo will be different but interior cleaner with scrubber attached works, of coarse i already changed it. Love your style of fishing tho totally changed the box count in my boat. Thnaks bud

Looks tasty! Where do you get that tallow? Is it beef tallow?
@MarshManMasson11 ай бұрын
Yep, grass-fed beef tallow. I get it off the internet.

I'm just getting back to fishing, but years ago I was thinking about designing a tent that would fit on the bow and staying out in the marsh and cooking some fish on a small grill. I have actually started seeing videos where guys are doing this. I may revisit the idea. What do you think they would say about how many fish could be on the boat if you told them you were out for two days. 🤔 Fun video. On a side note, when I'm out in the marsh and I smell fish cooking, I'm gonna come a' looking. Lol
@MarshManMasson11 ай бұрын
I don't blame you! Regarding keeping fish for two days, there are specific rules related to camping and multi-day trips. Check them out in the LDWF fishing pamphlet.

@@MarshManMassoni thought it was illegal to clean fish on your boat. And a friend told me its illegal to use bass belly’s etc for bait 🤷🏼♂️

Redmond’s salt and tallow. You must’ve discovered the carnivore diet. Been eating carnivore for almost 6 years now. Best decision I’ve ever made!
@MarshManMasson11 ай бұрын
You've got a good eye lol. I'm not full-fledged carnivore, but I do eat far more protein than most people. I also eat grains and ultra-processed food only on very rare occasions, and never knowingly eat seed oil or sugar.

Where did the tallow come from, I’m very interested. Thanks Todd. Another outstanding video. ✌🏼

I could be wrong, it has happened before, but I wonder if its legal to cook while you are on the boat? I know you are not suppose to clean your catch while you are out fishing.

Fillets may not be possessed on the water, except for the purpose of consumption at sea aboard the harvesting vessel. An individual must not have more than 2 pounds of finfish parts per person in state waters, or more than 1.5 pounds of finfish parts per person in federal waters, on board the vessel, provided that the vessel is equipped to cook finfish and that the finfish does not exceed applicable bag limits. These provisions do not apply to bait species.
