@@Creepo_J I believe phantom hits are a result of hitbox interpolation (I might be wrong) and in this case it didn't phantom hit because it was the final hitbox that trimmed byleth's hair. there was no further hitbox to interpolate to on the next frame and so it didn't detect any hurtbox avoiding an interpolated region by one frame.

I have been saying for years that Leo needs to pick Byleth back up. Everyone says Byleth is too slow but the character is everything Leo uses constantly. He uses Byleth's spacing tools so well. But as always Steve ruins everything. The amount of times that blocks placed in neutral saved Acola in that set is ridiculous. Creating your own platforms is too strong of an ability in a platform fighter.

Even Marss said it makes you reactionable sooner. This is true as someone who played Inkling, because using nair after you get hit makes you avoid tech chase scenarios and since nair has low lag, it is better and faster than buffering an airdodge or jump. It’s not as useful for Steve as it is Inkling but the point still stands. Instead of hating, are we forgetting Acola’s match against Spargo, his tourney demon, and he went Aegis to win? Acola is #1 for a reason
