I keep coming to this video, someone should tell me how mama (Tirunesh Dibaba) came from the back straight to the front in the last lap, damn! the speed is amazing and today, she is the greatest of all. This woman has inspired me a lot, I am Nigerian but because of my love for Tirunesh Dibaba I am learning Amharic (Ethiopian language), why? I love how the language sounds and how Tirunesh speaks it confidently and I want to understand what she says in her own words when interviewed. The Dibabas, Tirunesh especially was created for this, to run and to destroy...I salute the babyface destroyer. I give kudos to the third Kenyan runner, Masai, she came from the back to claim third too.

For some reason all the European runners from countries like Finland, Italy and Germany started being absent in long distance running after enhanced restriction of performance enhancements in the 80s and 90s. Ethiopians and Kenyans started completely dominating since, even though they were pretty good before as well

Estos comentaristas muy malos y poco profesionales. Ni siquiera le dieron el mérito en los metros finales a Dibaba por haber ejecutado un sprint perfecto y batir a la española. De hecho la nombraron "la segunda de las etíopes". No la tomaron en cuenta en toda la carrera, embelesados con la representante de su país. No se dieron cuenta que era el ascenso de una de las atletas que haría historia en el atletismo: Tirunesh Dibaba. What a coincidence to have at the start line Gabi Szabo and Tirunesh Dibaba just beside one another. Szabo had been to that point the greatest middle-runner female. However, starting with this race, a new star was born: Tirunesh. Kudos to Szabo, who was the last non-African athlete who dominated these events until the African Princesses owned the track, probably forever. And now, other great names like Almaz, Obiri, Hassas, Tsegay or Gidey will come. Still, despite their fabulous times and records, none of them seem to have dominated 1500 - 10000 m distances like Szabo and Tirunesh did it with supremacy.
