Very interesting, Gerald. Good to hear that this comes through on my Iphone recording. I’ve observed the same things, as you mentioned. Marten speakers all have a certain similarity in tone as far as I have noticed.

I have had a couple krell amps including a KSA. They are on the brigbt side. I rid of both and like Classe amps better. Neutral and effortless dynamics output.

Interesting to hear that. I guess it all comes down to preferences. That said my favourite amps that I have had in my posession are the monoblock Krell FPB 650MCs - They have slightly darker, and much more powerfull sound (as they should, all things considered) - at the moment they are in for repairs, so I’m very happy to have the KSA 300S in for a temporary replacement. People are looking for different things in a presentation. I don’t mean to be negative, but Classé has never appealed to me - to me they sound a bit too soft, and dare I say a bit muddy. - There are such a wealth of different gear with vastly oposing presentations out there - I believe there is something for all kind of tastes.

How do you like the ML 52 preamp.

@danlivni2097 The ML52 is truely amazing. There are several high-end preamps that will outperform it in speed, airyness, 3D-like spatiality etc, but can they outperform it in musicality, natural refinement? My impression is that the ML 52 has that famous ML smoothnes and soundstage depth in spades. I really can’t think of a better product from ML - truely the quintessence of this justly famous brand.

Well that is a bit harsh. Remember this video is only meant for fun, recorded with an ordinary Iphone. A recording of a system on YT will never be telling much of how a system sounds in a room. When it comes to treatment this room is treated with double Acoustic walls and ceiling. The skyline treatment in the ceiling is also working great (IMHO), taking off reflections from tweeter and mid-range. - I have chosen to take away the thick rugs I used to have because the sound got too «dead» for me. I really hate dead sounding rooms - you might as well wear headphones then. 😅 - Behind the speakers there are panels absoring the high frequenzies, while the shelves on the side scatter the reflected high frequenzies. Behind the listening seat there are bass traps helping control the mid-bass. - Hope you can adjust your expectations and just enjoy more.
