I've made a similar recipe with Kalamata olives but I put the dough on parchment paper then put it in my dutch oven. Saved sticking to the pot although yours came out without a fight. It is quite tasty.

I think transferring with parchment would be best as cheese made it stick to my pot so I almost couldn’t get it out!

Is it safe to leave the cheese at room temp for 12 hours? That worries me. I want to make this with cheddar cheese but worry about the cheese being unrefidgerated for 12 hours.
@1970boobear2 жыл бұрын
@@Lilliancooks good question. The harder, aged cheeses like gruyere, gouda, manchego etc are a bit more hardy than softer cheeses like brie, boursin etc & don't perish nearly as fast. They're fermented & have a less permeable surface, so bacteria, fungus takes a while to penetrate. It'll be fine 😍

Need to oil the pot or just transfer bread after 2nd rise with parchment into pot. Good bread but I would cook a little less time as crust is almost too crunchy. Will make it again!
@mingv41512 жыл бұрын
Let it rise on a parchment paper in a bowl and move the parchment paper with the dough into the hot pan. It makes much easier to remove the bread from the heavy pan after it is baked.

Le Creuset Dutch ovens do not need to have the handle off of their lid, in order to be placed in the oven!

I couldn't figure out why she did that until I went to the written recipe. I have a Lodge Dutch oven and it has a metal knob that can withstand the heat of no knead recipes. Was a bit shocked that hers can't!

Martha you need to learn something about making bread. When you put it down for the two hour rise put it on a flower piece of parchment paper large parchment paper then lightly flower the top and put a flower sack dish cloth over it if it’s flour properly it won’t stick then when it’s ready to go into the pot which you should have used the lid to heat as well pick up the piece of parchment drop it in the pot and put the lid on then follow through with the rest of the directions. You’ll be amazed at how little clean up a mess and flower that will be all over your kitchen.

I just made this bread and unfortunately it was a bit of a disaster. I followed your video precisely and there were two big issues. First, was the use of wax paper. After the second rise the dough stuck to the paper and then the paper fell apart when I tried removing it. It took about 10 minutes to pick all of the paper bits out of the dough. Then, I put the dough directly into my Dutch oven. Suffice it to say that the next time I will use parchment paper because the bread stuck to the oven and it was quite messy removing it. Oh well, it was a learning experience.
