So beautiful. I’ve always loved Tom Waits ballads. This rendition touches my heart and reminds me of the cycle of life that we all feel as we get older thank you Sam, thank you, Tom .

Just an incredible, heartfelt performance. Tom Waits has always done wonders for me, and it's great to witness such a beautiful rendition of this classic.

Hi, Sam. That certainly brought a tear to my eye; hit so close to home. A few years ago, I wanted to reconnect with my high-school sweetheart. I called her dad, and he was so happy to hear from me. He gave me phone numbers for both his daughters; I was a friend of both. I never got to speak with "Martha," as her husband answered the phone and wouldn't let it happen. I did call her sister, though, and we had a wonderful chat. I went to high school with Tom Waits; never knew what he had in him.

Sam what a beautiful rendition of that song! I've always loved your voice and your talents and followed you all the way back from Star Search which I recorded on an old tape recorder, so glad to see you have some really good acting jobs on you

That was just awesome!! In my immagination Tom Frost is drunk out of an old jazz club but it doesn't matter :P! I loved it

Vincenzo Icastico thats interesting... i always kind of pictured him like he is portrayed here... a stable home body with a tear in his eye about what could have been had he taken the other path when he reached that fork in the road so many years ago

beautiful! he makes the refrain like a phoenix rising, like the middle part of the song -if you go away: "But if you'll stay / I make you a Day / like no day has been / or will be again..."
