My daughter’s pediatrician was from Israel. He recommended starting babies off with puréed green beans, not sweet potatoes as many do. Also, I recall hearing that avocado is the best food for babies. We did that, and our daughter is a good eater and has enjoyed almost all vegetables throughout the years as she is now in her teens.

Acids oxidize the aluminum and components of it end up in the food as it cooks...always use parchment paper like Martha does to avoid getting aluminum bits in your food!

I never use aluminum foil on my food. Especially things with tomato sauce because it causes the foil to pit and then you have pieces of aluminum foil in your food. Way to go Martha. Even if I make sandwiches for my family to go, I always put a sheet of wax paper on the aluminum foil and then wrap it up , and so the foil is never touching the food but it will keep it cooler.
