@MarsHolst20 I play with an unusual double stroke technique I haven't seen anyone else do but I get massive power even in the 240~250 range. However patterns that start and stop are extra difficult. But energy efficiency is bad with my technique because of the muscle groups I use to get power. Worth it though....

The swivel technique looks ridiculous and unnecessary.

It might look that way but it definitely helps your stamina at high tempos. All these metal drummers wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't effective.

@@drummerdan95 i understand it works and many of my favorite drummers use it, but it just seems any extra unnecessary movement should be avoided at those speeds, if this was about heel toe I would agree it works great because it actually increases speed and stamina (according to drummers like longstreth) even though I personally don't use it.
