Exactly because MMA like any other martial art used in sports are actually effective to be used in a very controlled situation like a ring or the octagon. That’s why you have self-defense martial arts like Krav Maga. Which I kind upset that they didn’t bring any Krav Maga or Kung fu or any other self defense martial art to neither this and last season.

Depends on the UFC fighter. I was at a bar in Katy, TX and former UFC fighter Melvin Guillard started shit with a few friends that were Marines just home from deployment. He had several friends, we had several friends - Melvin got his ass KICKED (put in a sleeper hold by a MARSOC friend if I recall correctly). Oddly enough, we'd seen him the night before at the bar and he was totally cool - some folks can't handle their drinks.

A lot of police and bouncers do not go directly into the heat, especially in a mass brawl. Thats a mistake a lot of people do, these guys are not your personal security paid from you, why should they get hurt cause of your actions. Same in a lot of different places like offices, factorys etc. first thing is that you have to be capable of protecting yourself, no one is going to do that for ya.

To be fair to the others some of them did try to suggest leaving but since the actor wasn’t leaving they knew the scenario wasn’t over yet and felt they had to stay. The “rules” or perception of them in a game can drastically impact how people react to situations. Like I never go anywhere I’m expecting to be attacked nor would I but if I was in this I would be expecting to be attacked in every scenario so I’d behave differently. The same goes for all of them

@tarettime9392
@tarettime9392 4 ай бұрын
@@jovanleon7 but that’s the thing. If I know I’m in a self defense scenario I’m gonna leave everytime before anything happens. There’s a certain amount of “playing along” that everyone does Jesse “playing along” more than Craig doesn’t mean he’s worse at self defense. This show is fun and entertaining but it’s not a perfect representation of their self defense skills. It’s heavily influenced by them knowing they’re in a self defense scenario, their ability to “play along” the exact right amount, and the opinions of the show runners on what’s acceptable as self defense at what time.

The sorry thing is that Ranton did not get Jeff Chans advice of seeing as a spar to take the pressure out of it. East Asian martial arts kind of do the same, you do not chase the attacker you kind of do your dance while protect only your area and suck the attacker in once he transgresses. This way you not even have evil intend, the other one just destroys themselves by jumping into the hurricane. Have top monk on the shirt and not even knowing the 4 doors is kind of hilarious.

JEff and Natan were the only ones with enough self defence awareness not to let a hostile person get close to them while seated on the couch which is a vital self-defence tool. Craigs a fkn beast. As someone who’s trained martial arts, he’s the guy they mean when they say «dont pick a fight with anyone, because you never know how it’ll go». He shows you how much defence is about, decisive choices, spatial awareness, and a grit and resolve to make it out and how it matters much more than your “style”. Some of the professionals also seem to struggle to see this as a true self defence situation and more like a game, making them not find their “on button” as ranton called it, quick enough. I think Craig is on even before he enters, which is also a huge advantage
