Oooooossh! Nice breaks guys. One could say that Brian actually used Qi gong, without knowing it. Taking a moment to focus the mind on the task at hand instead of striking straight out the gate. That's internal bro!

what, qi gong? thats hard to remember, theres like thousands of different techniques to train, and i cant make sure youre using qi off the internet, but basically just search online qi gong training, theres this guy that was talking about horse stance and all that and i tried and it was good so hey search there, its just hard to explain, you literally need to imagine energy shoot from your veins when you feel the heat

@@xirensixseo don't give people ideas man, if they fail, the consequences would be incurable. Unlike the body techniques, you actually need a teacher to guide you for Qigong

@@animationtaku6366 true. It’s VERY dangerous to train qi gong unsupervised. It’s like learning how to rope cross between skyscrapers without a safety net.

I can't say I believe in the concept of "qi" but I've read that internal training can be explained with actual biomechanics insofar as that it's based on proper technique and body alignment rather than solely muscle power and tissue density.
@kevinle5743
@kevinle5743 7 жыл бұрын
"Qi" exists and doesn't exist in the same way that "you" exist and don't exist. At some point, all concepts break down.
@FilmFightFanatic
@FilmFightFanatic 7 жыл бұрын
I just find it to be another perspective on how the body functions. Otherwise there doesn't seem to be hard evidence for its actual existence. It's more of a belief, but a belief that still helps with martial arts and health/spirituality. Ultimately, a beneficial concept nonetheless.
@DownWithThePlague
@DownWithThePlague 7 жыл бұрын
The way it was explained to me, the character for "qi" is composed by the characters for "vapor", "gate/passage" and "rice bundle", meaning that one of the possible interpretations of the concept of "qi" is something that transition between Yin (represented by the dense, concrete rice bundle) and Yang (represented by the volatile and subtle water vapor). That would mean that "qi"could be interpreted as a concept, not necessarily an actual, distinct object.
@FilmFightFanatic
@FilmFightFanatic 7 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's interesting. Something between the physical and immaterial realm?
@DownWithThePlague
@DownWithThePlague 7 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Yin and yang are relative concepts, so when you say something is yin, you're comparing it to something that is more yang, e.g., if you compare fire and water, then fire is more yang and water would be yin, while if you compare light to fire, then light would be yang and fire would be yin. In this view, qi could be interpreted as the expression of the Tao, because everything in the universe expands (yang movement) and contracts (yin movement) at one point. So, in the end, everything is qi and qi is everything. That's one of the reasons, I believe, that, in different contexts, qi can mean different things. Translating the concept of qi is extremely complicated, and the common translation of it being "energy" is awfuly misleading. One of my teachers said it could be translated as "the spirit/essence of air", since, in the five element theory, air had the capacity to promote the transmutation of one element into the other. No wonder that breathing is so important in chinese martial arts...

Nope. Saw the whole season. Horrible fight scenes. For a show that is supposed to be about the most martial arts based character, it's terrible. He doesn't move like a martial arts master. And the choreography and cinematography for the fights was horrendous. 30+ cuts in less than 10 seconds is hiding the fact that they had 15 minutes to learn choreography. Finn Jones is not a leading man. He comes across as boring compared to Charlie Cox. The script is bad too. And don't even get me started on how boring The Hand is in both this and Daredevil. Character was originally a rich white dude, so he should stay a rich white dude. It would have been stereotypical if they turned him into an asian dude.
