The way everything unfolded in this fight, from the differences of ranges, the feints, the side steps, the adjustments were absolutely beautiful and it transcends ratings, hence the quotations around them ratings. We've known each other for almost two years now, it's not that deep.

So just for anyone who doesn’t know Saki, his steel checks is because of how he won a title in Glory kickboxing. He was faced with Tyrone Spong. You might know him because Ngannou took his power record. He’s a kickboxer with very good hands which made him unique. Well unfortunately, he threw a kick that was checked and he had a less severe Anderson Silva moment. Like so people can see this.

what are your thoughts on the side step mechanic? i noticed romero used it a lot. to me it seems way too “gamey” rather being realistic. A lot of the time the mechanic seems like a crutch for players and you can quickly see how fast people’s skill levels drop once they gas and cannot sidestep as quickly. Lastly, do you have any ideas for why sidestepping is favored over head movement / lunging?

Only against straight strikes, it takes you ever so slightly out of range. The most recent example? Pettis side stepped Wonderboy's side kick to land that Superman hook. Conor side steps in and out of out range a LOT. Basically good footwork
