The issue with the Eccleston season is that he didn’t have time to come into his own. Plus, they were still trying to figure out what they were going for with Nu Who.

I used to not like eccleston's doctor but if i was you i would give it a rewatch after you finish capaldi. Each doctor has their own personality and eccelston's character is more contextual than people think and i think it aged well

I dont not like him, I think the first few episodes are a little slow and David Tennant is so amazing it feels like show really takes off after that transition. Im watching Capaldi’s first season rn and I definitely prefer Eccleston to his character.

My niece was born as the BBC aired the 2023 Doctor Who x-mas special. While I don't rate the 1st season of Doctor Who on disney+ that high, this connection with my niece still gives that season a special place in my heart. And the 2024 x-mas special ending also hit way different for me because of my niece. My personal favorite Doctor Who companion is definatly Clara Oswald. But maybe that's nostalgia talking. As a kid I began watching Doctor Who starting with the 1st Matt Smith season and stopped after the 1st Clara Oswald season with the next Doctor. In 2023 I began rewatching doctor Who, but this time starting from the 2005 reboot. David Tennant really is the best doctor from 2005 onward, but Matt Smith defiantly holds up as a close 2nd. And while Amy Pond fell of a little as companion, having now seen the entire Clara Oswald story, she definatly remains my number 1, with Donna claiming 2nd.

I *really* like Clara, might end up being my second favorite but Im not all the way through 12th doctor yet. I miss Matt Smith now that the show has moved on, and a lot of my enthusiasm for his character came back with Clara. I think his second season was just kinda mid/weird, overall big Matt Smith fan.

Playing cards and not killing your opponent isn't BM. BM is spamming emotes and unnecessarily ropping every turn. Then again, this is the community where saying "hi" at the beginning of the game and "gg, wp" at the end is also seen as BM.
