Today we review the Xiaomi Smart curtain motor. This curtain motor needs to be paired with any of the Xiaomi or Aqara Gateways. Keep in mind that the Curtain motor is meant to work with DT-82 curtain tracks and can pull up to about 60 kilograms. All of that comes in a package that's just 37*5*5cm and lasted on a full charge so far 3 to 4 months!
Once set-up with the Xiaomi Mi Home App you set timers and automation rules. You can pair the curtain motor with all kinds of input sensors and switches. The timers allow you to set up predefined timeslots for your curtains to open and close. While the automation rules within the Mi Home app will allow you and endless amount of possibilities in your smart home.
I had these smart curtains already installed ever since we moved in a couple months ago and I finally managed to get this video done and I hope you enjoyed it!

Hi Martijn, great video! Question: in your video you also have the corner track piece installed, is this part of the track package? or did you buy this as a seperate add-on? Haven't found it yet, and the store selling the track seems to only sell a straight track installation kit. I need a straight rail of about 3.5m and a corner on one end of the rails. Thanks for this video, I had mine delivered last week and have just set it up with Siri & the Aqara app. I also added a philips hue strip light which turns on when the curtains close at sunset. This is really dope cheers!

I have a led strip (Xiaomi Yeelight Aurora) installed behind the rails. There's also a smart light bulb in the lamp. One press on the left button will turn on the lights. Hold the left button will open the curtains. Hold the right will close, press both will turn off all the lights. Does this answer you question? :)

Ik heb ook zitten kijken naar de xiaomi gordijn motoren. Ik ben echter niet kapot van de gordijnen onder de rail. Het is mooier als je de rail helemaal niet ziet. Dus dat de gordijnen voor de rail hangen. Daarnaast vind ik de uiteinden van je gordijnen er een beetje gaar uitzien. Het hangt niet netjes recht en vraag me af of dit komt omdat je ze gewoon niet fatsoenlijk hebt opgehangen of dat dit niet anders kan met dit systeem. Anders zou ik zeker niet hiervoor gaan.
