I’m not a Mendes Fan, but the looks, the size and the sustainable components as well as the ocean plastic gig bay really are interesting. Love all the Phoebe Bridgers Riffs you played - helpful to make a choice.

Chill video man - love the phoebe too. Really enjoy the blending of mic'd/DI the best. Only thing I wish they'd added is open gear vintage tuners and a glossy top but that'd make the price skyrocket. Tried my local GC and they couldn't find the guitar in the store, even though it said it was in stock.

This is exactly what happened to me! That's why I ended up buying from a local shop. I'd recommended seeing if local shops in your area have it! Also I wish they'd added vintage tuners as well, I'm going to see about adding them

I’m getting this guitar today at my local guitar center in pa and I saw it last night and it’s just perfect if your look for the perfect size and perfect guitar to take wherever you want to go to just play definitely would get a purchase

Recently sold my GS Mini so I could fund another purchase. I actually miss having a small body guitar, and I ordered this one at my local Martin dealer! I’ve played oooJrs, and loved them! I like the aging toner! Always wanted an OMJM, can’t afford one right now, so, figured this would be a good substitute! Happy playing!

Always want to buy a standard 000jr but I've never got on board with the richlite used for the fretboard and bridge. This one I would buy. Even if it's a Shawn Mendez signature. Still cool that it's got ebony wood. Full solid body's on these jrs

Thanks for proposing also Mic+Line in the comparaison, a usefull detail. On paper, that Martin model chech so many boxes! Except, the Fishman sonitone that sounds bad here, up to me.. I'd like to check in real condition if it sounds good like a spruce GS mini, mainly the basses, which are not sounding so good in that video, but maybe that's normal also for that body size with mahogany. Those two guitar can be compared, considering budget and body size.. All solid woods and better look for the Martin, but better piezzo sound for Taylor..

I want a tone like the john mayer’s guitar and I think I can have it with the Shawn mandes’ one. I know the differences in wood and size but… you can say it at least have the vibe? Is the fret and neck smaller than a full guitar? I have problems with F,B and Cmin because my fingers are short. I like the way this guitar sounds thats why I havent got the GS mini yet. Figure maybe this jr Martin can be for small fingers as well.

Hi there! I wanted to ask your thoughts between this or the gs mini koa-e or the rosewood. Which one would you prefer and why? I'm trying to decide between these. I'll be mostly using them to travel around and for acoustic gigs with just an acoustic guitar and a mic for vocals. Which do you think would suit me best?

I've owned both the GS mini and this. This one has a thinner sound, but feels better to play, to me. I have a Taylor Academy that beats them both, IMHO

The reason smaller guitars sound just as loud in a quiet acoustic room is that it takes less energy to vibrate the tops of those small guitars, it won’t be as loud as the bigger guitars strummed harder and heavier gauged strings.

I played this at a gig the same day I bought it, and it sounded great. I have a 10 band EQ pedal to take out some of the annoying frequencies, so I would recommend getting one. But once it's EQ'd correctly it sounds pretty full plugged in

I went to a guitar center today and saw this. I instantly fell in love with it. It’s not huge like the full size guitar, and it’s not too small like the little Martin. It’s just perfect. However, I’m left handed🥲

fretboard on this is ebony, vs richlite on the standard, better gigbag on this one, electronics on this one, and aside from decal choices i think that's pretty much it

Both guitars have pros and cons. I personally hate the pickup systems in Taylors. But I LOVE how Taylors feel. The 114 is also a full size acoustic, so you can get a nice full size for the same price as a JR guitar. But the Shawn Mendes has cooler inlays/features, and will have a better resale value than a 114.
