I had The Martin Bartone back the 90’s I had such a great sound on that horn, that I would get gigs just because of the huge tone I got out of that thing. Sadly, after a cruise ship contract Delta Airlines dropped it off the conveyor and it was never the same… I recently goin a matched pair of the Martin Alto and Tenor. Near mint and they both roar!

Gorgeous instrument. Amazing work. I'd love to know how you tamed the intonation issues that the Martin Baritone is infamous for. I've experimented with key heights, body and neck tube "inserts" and mouthpiece chambers. I've dialed in the intonation but with some sacrifice of the amazing tone of the instrument. Got any secrets you don't mind sharing? 🙂
